Random Thoughts on the First Day of February
It’s February 2011! So what does that mean? The day of hearts is just around the corner. Lovers are already expected to do some plans just to show their love to their partners while the single ones (like me!) would rather consider February as the Single Awareness Month LOL
I don’t have any intentions of joining the Love Post bandwagon (ok, i’m lying then Haha), but I would like to share some of my random thoughts about February or specifically, on LOVE.
1. NEVER HAD A ROMANTIC VALENTINES DATE. Yes, at age 23, i never really had that candlelit dinner in a fancy restaurant or anything intimate to begin with on the 14th of February. You’d see me either working, hanging out with friends or just at home chatting with my friends online. I am not sure if this year will be a different one, but i am hoping. I am not expecting, but i am hoping. Expecting and Hoping are two different words, but i find it hard to differentiate them in a wider manner. Get me? No? K.
2. PROM DAY IN HIGH SCHOOL IS… not worth remembering either. Ok, it is worth remembering in a way. During our JS PROM when we were in ThirdYear, I couldn’t really remember who my first dance was. I can remember the last dance though since he was one of the most admired guys in school. He is a tall, chinito charmer who is also a gentleman. He ended up as my last dance partner because we swapped from another couple. I don’t want to elaborate LOL. The last prom night is quite special because most of my ‘adings’ from the Junior batch really approached me and danced with me. My last dance turned out to be my crush hehe. I ended up removing my shoes because i’m taller than him. I wanted to savour that moment so yes, i danced while holding my shoes
It is a moment worth turning into a short film.
SCRABBLE – Form Six Words and Express Yourself
Right after work, I went straight at home hoping that my internet connection is already fixed. Unfortunately, I found myself in a situation wherein i’d rather use a dial-up connection than use my wireless broadband. It ruined my blogging schedule for three straight nights!
Instead of feeling sorry for myself and declare it as an ‘unproductive’ night, I decided to edit some of the videos I took for my Project52Weeks. I admit that I have tons of backlogs but I am slowly (but surely) working on it. I was able to edit four – One is a videoke presentation with my Cebu friends (Isang Lahi FTW!), One is a Survivor-like video with Ada and Jenny during our first trip to Puerto Princesa (nananaginip lang ba tayo?!), One is an interview with the one and only Gabe Mercado where I asked him about his video blog, his showbiz commitments and the late-rockeoke (huhu) and I also have a short film which is quite serious compared to the rest of the videos I previously presented to my audience.

The PROJECT52WEEKS Dilemma
A few nights ago, I tweeted, plurked and posted a Facebook status about my intention of shutting down Project52Weeks. It is my video blog wherein I originally planned to make at least 52 short films for 2010. All of my friends were enthusiastic about it. They were pitching ideas and most of them participated in my shorties.

Isasara ko ba talaga ang P52W? Gusto mo bang sagutin ko talaga 'yan?
Unfortunately, I lost track. I wanted to make it a once-a-week commitment. Work, travel and lack of time are the main reasons why I wasn’t able to update much. I also blame YouTube for giving me uploading headaches at times. I have some videos taken from my trips and random chorvas with friends. I need to fix them though before I present them and hopefully help in filling out my backlogs (I think I am 12 weeks delayed. FML.)
Anyway, I will NOT close PROJECT52WEEKS. Sayang eh. I’m thinking of filling out my backlogs then restart over again.
On The Red Shoes, Shabu-Shabu and Donuts
Thank God It’s Friday! Aside from I have no work on Fridays, it is also the day wherein I am able to meet-up with some of my friends or have some ‘me’ time. Last Friday was extra special because of the following reasons: 1.) I am one of the first to see Unitel Pictures’ The Red Shoes 2.) Late Gloria Maris Shabu-Shabu Dinner 3.) Project52Weeks completion at Krispy Kreme.
Nuffnang Bloggers at the Frontrow
Nuffnang Philippines gave me an exclusive pass to the Media screening of Unitel Pictures’ The Red Shoes. If you are a regular reader of my blog, most probably you’ve seen the advertisement with the faces of Marvin Agustin and Nikki Gil on it. To be honest, I first find the Marvin-Nikki tandem very dull. Maybe it is because I never really pictured them to be a loveteam in a movie or tv series or yeah, the Kapuso-Kapamilya thingy too LOL.
So initially, you will only see The Red Shoes in the trailer and movie poster. I thought the movie will focus more on Imelda Marcos’ addiction with shoes (Mas sikat pa nga si Imelda Marcos kaysa sa Pilipinas! – Tessie Tomas, The Red Shoes). If you are a devotee of the 1986 People Power Revolution, i’m sure that you will enjoy this film. But wait, the story doesn’t really revolve there.
PROJECT52WEEKS.COM – 52 Weeks, 52 Short Films
After acquiring my very own Panasonic DMC-LX3 as a Christmas gift to myself, I started my very own photoblog at Tumblr called LX3 Moments, wherein I will be posting one photo a day with a corresponding information about the photo. It is a known fact in the bloggers that photo hobbyist started with their own Project 365 Days.

Micamyx's Project52Weeks starts now!
Want to know the real reason why I chose the LX3 instead of buying another type of camera? I love it because it is handy, easy to use and I can possibly take HD clips. I am not a professional photographer. In fact, I don’t even plan to put watermarks on my photos (unless maybe if i am not as lazy as I am today). I simply want a good camera. That’s it.
Ok, enough of that
Just last week, I mentioned to a friend that I am planning to start with my own online video blogging project. My aim for this one is to shoot at least one short film using my Panasonic DMC-LX3. I want it to be on-the-spot and spontaneous. I bought the domain right away and launched the site last Sunday
