“Thank You and Ingat!” – John Lloyd Cruz

John Lloyd Cruz is undeniably one of the most talented actors in the country today. Not only that – he is also an effective product endorser. No wonder he has a number of deals under his belt including a pizza food chain, clothing line, shoe brand, mobile phone, canned good among others. Of course, the most-loved and sincere among them all is his Biogesic campaign with the popular tagline “Ingat!”

Most of his fans miss him already in the ABS-CBN Primetime Bida block. He was last seen as Armando in the Philippine version of I Love Betty La Fea where he was paired with long-time screen partner, Bea Alonzo. To be honest, I am a big John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo fanatic. I’ve seen all their movies – My First Romance, Now That I Have You, Close to You, All About Love, One More Chance and of course, Miss You Like Crazy!

PROJECT52WEEKS.COM – 52 Weeks, 52 Short Films

After acquiring my very own Panasonic DMC-LX3 as a Christmas gift to myself, I started my very own photoblog at Tumblr called LX3 Moments, wherein I will be posting one photo a day with a corresponding information about the photo. Want to know the real reason why I chose the LX3 instead of buying another type of camera? I love it because it is handy, easy to use and I can possibly take HD clips. I am not a professional photographer. In fact, I don’t even plan to put watermarks on my photos (unless maybe if i am not as lazy as I am today). I simply want a good camera. That’s it.

Ok, enough of that πŸ˜› Just last week, I mentioned to a friend that I am planning to start with my own online video blogging project. My aim for this one is to shoot at least one short film using my Panasonic DMC-LX3. I want it to be on-the-spot and spontaneous. I bought the domain right away and launched the site last Sunday πŸ˜›

Short Film Screening at Tomato Bomb’s Eksena

December 15, 2009 is a memorable day for me as a film maker. Why? Because for the first time, my short films entitled Kuya Bunso and The 12th of June were shown in a non-blogger event. Thanks to Mr. Mike Dagnalan (Isnats, River of Dreams, Karoler), who serves as one of my mentors at the Sinelab Scriptwriting Workshop for inviting me to be a part of this month’s Eksena at Tomato Bomb.

I invited some of my blogger friends (mostly part of the production team) two nights before the film showing. I am quite confident because the feedback in the Davao Bloggers screening was positive. In fact, half of them preferred Kuya Bunso though most of the girls preferred The 12th of June for obvious reasons πŸ™‚
