Way Back to my Hometown

My trip to Dagupan City the other weekend is quite productive even if I only spent four days there. Now I appreciate the importance of going back to your hometown and revisiting some of the important people who you were with while growing up. I went back to Binalonan, my mother’s hometown after three years of not visiting my relatives there. I am not proud of my sort of negligence of visiting them, but I think they do understand.

A lot of things have changed: Some of my cousins are now devoted parents to their kids and our ancestral house has a sari-sari store installed on it. I bought a lot of junk foods that cost around one peso per pack. I spent Php15 all in all =P It is also nice to visit and appreciate the simple and relaxed provincial life in the Philippines.

It is also nice to exchange views with my older female cousins. We were there just updating about what happened to our lives in the past three years. They asked me about my former job at a controversial medical clinic, the Pinoy celebrities I met, my Pinoy Parazzi articles (they bought some copies yehey!) and about my non-existing lovelife. I am already twenty four and people are expecting me to settle down. Settle Down? Not now, I guess. With whom? That is yet to be revealed soon.

Pangasinan Bloggers’ Tour Day 1 – Exploring Dagupan, Calasiao and Lingayen

I was born and raised in Dagupan City. I started out blogging when I was in high school but i started blogging publicly in college (through my .i.ph blog). As a student, i kept on blogging about my whereabouts including my dream of working in Manila. I wanted to pursue a careeer in IT way back, and going to Manila is the only solution that i saw. Although I’ve been working in Manila since 2008, i can say that nothing compares to the place you call home <3

Sneak Preview of the Western Pangasinan Getaway

One of my dream projects as a blogger is to bring some of my blogger friends to Pangasinan, my beloved hometown. For months, there were attempts of organizing one, but due to the very long trip hours and lack of information, the plans never pushed through. Thanks to Anton (originally from Anda, Pangasinan) because he is my partner in organizing this trip. We had the same goal when finally we talked about the dream of organizing a Pangasinan Tour with blogger friends. Josh Uy is from Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan and he helped us out in terms of transportation πŸ™‚

I am so happy because the dream trip finally pushed through! Last weekend, I together with Anton, Ada, Darwin, Estan, Robbie, Cai, Gael, Marky and Josh embarked on a very long trip to Pangasinan in order to explore, learn and enjoy our own Pangasinan experience. I didn’t really get the chance to enjoy Alaminos and Bolinao in the past that’s why i want this trip to push through. In my own opinion, this is quite different to my past group trips. Let’s just say that this is more personal to me πŸ™‚ It felt kinda weird especially when we were gallivanting in Dagupan City LOL πŸ˜›
