Spending the First Weekend of July in Dagupan City

After spending two days and one night in Baguio City, I went straight to Dagupan City via Victory Liner for a short visit at our new house there. To those who don’t really have an idea where I lived from 1994 to 2008, I actually lived inside the school campus. Yes, it is in the same campus where I studied for elementary, high school and college.

The New Home

From Penthouse to Big House

Early this year, my grandparents moved to another house near the school campus. Though my grandfather already retired from his job as a Medical Director in Pangasinan Medical Center, he is still an active Dean at the College of Medicine of Lyceum Northwestern-University. My lola is having a hard time climbing up the stairs, which may have utilized a stair runners, (we used to stay at the 3rd floor of the Administration Bldg), they’ve decided to stay at the other house.

This house is big! I arrived late Thursday night and I was surprised upon seeing a big dog, who acts as the guard in the new home compound. The dog’s name is German and I am scared of dogs. I end up holding my father’s hands like a little girl whenever I go in and out of the compound πŸ˜›

Holy Week 2010 in Dagupan City Day 1

Last Wednesday night, I decided the last minute that I will go to Dagupan City, my hometown and spend my Holy Week break there. My grandparents went to Naga for a family reunion and my usual companions went to different provinces.

I didn’t like the idea that I’ll be stuck here in Manila alone and I felt like i needed to go outside of the Metro in order for me to be inspired to write a screenplay. After chatting with my college friends through Facebook, I decided to pack my things and ride a bus to Pangasinan.

And it was one hella ride.

Returning Home and Leaving Three Days After

Due to the sudden pain on the chest and the accidental findings on my x-ray, I decided to take a leave at work and go back home to Dagupan for a few days.

Flooded ~_~

Riding the bus and sitting for five hours is not a joke. I think this is the main reason why I seldom go to Dagupan. I mean, I should be there at least once a month to check my grandparents, right? But due to the stress and bus transportation fare, I usually go there once in every three months. The last time I went home is mainly for the Search Engine Optimization lecture at Urdaneta City with Sir Gary and Mam Janette.

Anyway, I arrived there at 2pm last Sunday. I caught my grandfather working on his new HP Mini. Yes, he has a smaller and better toy than I do πŸ™ He told me that he appreciates Chrome compared to Firefox because it kept on crashing everytime he attempts to attach documents in his emails and he also gave his opinion on the messy look of the layout of my blog when he’s browsing using IE. Yes, my grandfather reads my blog. I’m so dead again!
