A Saturday Full of Hotdogs, Shabu-Shabu and Iced Mocha

TGIS! Thank God It’s Saturday! Nah, I’m not talking about the teen-oriented show shown years ago Starring Angelu de Leon and Bobby Andrews as Peachy and Wacks. I am pertaining to the lovely Saturday I just had. I can say that I had a Patay Gutom Saturday after going to the 7-11 Bite Match Event, Mini Shabu-Shabu for Dinner and Krispy Kreme Greenhills for Dessert.

Why should you choose this hotdog over your boyfriend?

Why should you choose this hotdog over your boyfriend?

Though I only managed to sleep for thirty minutes, a lot of things happened and a very busy day is ahead of me. I tried to sleep at 10am and I managed to get up at10:30am since the 7-11 Bite Match event will start at 11am. I am surprised to see my grandfather on my way to the bathroom when I woke up LOL. I didn’t know that the grannies are here in the city to attend a Golden wedding anniversary. Awkward Moment 😐

After doing the *bibihis na ako at didiretso na ako ng rockwell kahit basa pa ang buhok ko at may muta pa ako*routine, I finally arrived at the venue and surprised to see a hotdog talking about why girls should choose hotdogs over their boyfriends. Hmmmm…

Weekend Lakwatsa at Boracay with the Grannies and HS Bestie (Photostory)

FlySeair

APRIL 1994 – The month and year when I first rode an airplane with my parents. If I’m not mistaken, the trip to Hongkong was their graduation gift and at the same time an advanced birthday treat to me. I remember my mom telling me that they wanted me to experience how it feels like to ride an airplane so that I will have a story to tell to my classmates. They warned me that it might take me a long time before I will fly on air again.

FLYSEAIR

And they were right! Fifteen years after, I was given the chance to experience my first ever domestic flight. Thanks to SEAIR for the wonderful trip to Caticlan. Last year, I won six tickets from their writing contest. I originally wanted to go to Palawan, but due to undisclosed reason, we were assigned to go to Boracay instead. What made this trip extra special? Hmmmm…. aside from it’s my first time to go to one of the best beaches in the world, I went there with my lovable grandparents and my high school bestfriend named Maire. Another fun fact is that we are all first timers!

Since this trip is so special to me, I would like to write a longer blog post about it. I am happy because I was able to spend the Independence weekend with my high school bestfriend, Maire (we once dreamt about this way back, remember?), Lola Paquita (whom i truly admire with all the sacrifices she had to go through during the trip teehee) and Lolo Peping, who looked like a little boy when he told me that its his first time ride in a propeller plane after 40 long years.

On the next blog post, you will learn why I kept on mentioning the phrase “For the sake of friendship” everytime Maire and I have a photo together. I will also share to you the flight details, our stay at Tans Guesthouse, the nightlife, Island hopping, Puka beach, Snorling, Reef walking, Para-sailing, camwhoring, spending too much on mineral water, painful sunburn, wearing a bikini at the beach for the first time, catching up with your high school buddy and of course, seeing your grannies happy in the wonderful place called Boracay. Woot! Again, special thanks to SEAIR for making this trip possible! Sa uulitin πŸ˜›

PS: Due to the trip, I decided to convert one of my blogs into a travel blog. It will be launched this July πŸ˜€

Returning Home and Leaving Three Days After

Due to the sudden pain on the chest and the accidental findings on my x-ray, I decided to take a leave at work and go back home to Dagupan for a few days.

Flooded ~_~

Riding the bus and sitting for five hours is not a joke. I think this is the main reason why I seldom go to Dagupan. I mean, I should be there at least once a month to check my grandparents, right? But due to the stress and bus transportation fare, I usually go there once in every three months. The last time I went home is mainly for the Search Engine Optimization lecture at Urdaneta City with Sir Gary and Mam Janette.

Anyway, I arrived there at 2pm last Sunday. I caught my grandfather working on his new HP Mini. Yes, he has a smaller and better toy than I do πŸ™ He told me that he appreciates Chrome compared to Firefox because it kept on crashing everytime he attempts to attach documents in his emails and he also gave his opinion on the messy look of the layout of my blog when he’s browsing using IE. Yes, my grandfather reads my blog. I’m so dead again!
