Before I Say Hello to Singapore…

It’s 2:05 in the morning (though my blog time stamp is not set well 😐 ) and I haven’t slept yet. I tried to get at least an hour of sleep, but I really can’t. I tried to pack all the things that I’ll be needing for the trip, but I kept on going back to the monitor.

Lolo: Are you the one and only culprit of the Pringles in the redbox crime?! Mica: I'm guilty. Peace Grandpa :D

Lolo: Where are you going? Mica: I'm going to Singapore, Lah!

I am used to last minute packing when I travel, but I know that this specific trip is extra special and somewhat a first for me. Actually, I still can’t believe up to this second that I’m about to go to Singapore to attend the Nuffnang Blog Awards.

For quite sometime, my grandparents and some of my nyok friends were forcing me to renew my passport, which expired last March 1999 (more than ten years ago!). The only country I went to is Hongkong in 1994 and I was just six or seven years old that time. I remember riding the Cathay Pacific plane and dreamt of having my own hotel exclusive for kids and an airline wherein the pilot and the stewardess are all kids. Ok, that’s a big headache if it came true.

Now I am 22 and just twelve hours ago, I claimed my renewed passport at the DFA office. I am quite amused with the fast service of DFA. Though I look terribly sleepy in my passport photo, I am more than happy to finally have it in my hands.

Indulge in Uniquely Singapore!

Singapore is one of the Asian countries that I would love to visit. Actually, some of my friends were inviting me to visit one of the most disciplined countries in Asia. The plan never pushed through because I am sort of lazy to renew my passport, which expired in 1999 (Ten years ago! LOL).

Uniquely Singapore

Just last month, the same set of friends were forcing me to renew my passport so that we can easily go to Singapore. Well, why not? Singapore is merely three hours away from the Philippines and I’ve seen a lot of tourist spots and activities that I can do there with my friends! And yes, Nuffnang will have their first Nuffnang Blog Awards in Singapore where my dear nyok friend Jehzlau is nominated in the Most Influential Blog Category. Going to Singapore to gallivant and witness your friend’s shining shimmering splendid moment with some of the most respected bloggers in Asia is simply priceless, right?

So there. Just a few hours ago, I searched for some of the interesting spots and activities in Singapore online and created my own dream Singapore itinerary! Curious to see what I really, really want to do in Singapore? Well, Read on and I’ll tell you what I want, what I really, really want!

Back From Boracay!

Where was I last Friday and Saturday? I went to Boracay for a much-deserved weekend break at the beach!

I will surely miss Boracay!

I will surely miss Boracay!

This trip is entirely different from the first one. We learned that SEAIR has a shuttle service for the transfer of passengers from Caticlan airport to the island. We failed to enjoy the service the last time since we availed the transfer offered by Tans Guesthouse. We also spent the afternoon searching for the cheapest buko juice and for the best milkshake ever (as recommended by Byahilo). Our accommodation at Eriko’s House is also surprisingly awesome! The room looked better in real-life LOL. We were able to walk from Station 1 to Station 3 (Failed to do this the last time). And yeah, we went to different islands the whole Saturday for only Php500 with buffet lunch!

Expect a longer blog entry about this on my upcoming travel blog which will be publicly announced soon. I’m excited! πŸ˜€
