The PROJECT52WEEKS Dilemma

A few nights ago, I tweeted, plurked and posted a Facebook status about my intention of shutting down Project52Weeks. It is my video blog wherein I originally planned to make at least 52 short films for 2010. All of my friends were enthusiastic about it. They were pitching ideas and most of them participated in my shorties.

Isasara ko ba talaga ang P52W? Gusto mo bang sagutin ko talaga yan?

Isasara ko ba talaga ang P52W? Gusto mo bang sagutin ko talaga 'yan?

Unfortunately, I lost track. I wanted to make it a once-a-week commitment. Work, travel and lack of time are the main reasons why I wasn’t able to update much. I also blame YouTube for giving me uploading headaches at times. I have some videos taken from my trips and random chorvas with friends. I need to fix them though before I present them and hopefully help in filling out my backlogs (I think I am 12 weeks delayed. FML.)

Anyway, I will NOT close PROJECT52WEEKS. Sayang eh. I’m thinking of filling out my backlogs then restart over again.

While I was in the bathroom the other night, I thought of four things that I can possibly do in PROJECT52WEEKS:

Me and Judd making a scene in Ortigas for our Carry My Love shortie

Me and Judd making a scene in Ortigas for our 'Carry My Love' shortie

First, I can still push through with very short films like Carry My Love, Meeting Bryan and On Glasses and Powders. If I have no choice, I think I must act infront of my LX3 at kahit emote-emote na lang ok na LOL.

Ada, Mica and Jenny in The Ultimate Aegis Fan Challenge (Palawan)

Second, I can document some of my travels like Pinoy Panda, Digital Putography, The Ultimate Aegis Fan Challenge among others. I actually have here lots of videos taken from our Sumilon Trip and Palawan Trip months ago. Sayang din ‘yun.

Third, I can interview celebrities or interesting people. Since I know quite a number of celebrities, maybe interviewing them is a good idea like this one thing I did with JC de Vera during the presscon of his TV5 show. I bet you guys have suggestion on whom I can interview πŸ˜›

Impromptu textmate shoot at Waterfront Cebu with Brian and Bryan

Lastly, I can make a short web series. For example, make a docu-series about my non-existent lovelife or how i can be insane at times. That would be interesting, right? Uhm, I dunno. I hope so haha πŸ˜€

So that’s it. Hay. This dilemma of mine is not a big problem. I am dealing with my #1 worst habit which is procrastination. I must work on my PROJECT52WEEKS backlogs ASAP!

….. errrr i mean next week LOL.

Come on. Should I continue with project52weeks? I wonder which of my videos is your favorite? La lang πŸ˜€

I think your Project52weeks is a nice project and you should continue it. Do it in your own pace so you don’t feel that it becomes a chore. It’s also best to keep some sort of notes in case you lose track.
