The First Half of December

I can’t believe that I haven’t blogged here for two weeks now! I will now force myself to blog about the things I’ve done the past two weeks which kept me busy and preoccupied.

To give a short summary on what i’ve been doing lately, i will give you three keywords that starts with letter D -Directing, Dagupan and Davao.

DIRECTING – I wrote, directed and produced my first short film entitled Kuya Bunso last January. I worked on my second one entitled The 12th of June last July. I originally wanted to join a competition, but time didn’t permit me to. Because of Kuya Andrew’s  plan of having a film showing in Davao, I decided to use my 13th month pay to work on my two short films. Finally, I am now done with the music scoring and editing. In fact, I’ll be having my second screening tonight at Eksena, which will also serve as my graduation for the Sinelab Scriptwriting Workshop! Yey for the team!

DAGUPAN – I went back home to Dagupan last December 3-6. I met up with old friends, bonded with my cousins, went out to dinner with my grandparents and so on. Treating them for lunch or dinner really made me feel good. I’ve been wanting to take charge on simple things like this and i am happy that i am able to do it now. I am also happy to see that Dagupan is ok now after Bagyong Pepeng. Oh well, what’s new? Dagupan is very much used to the typhoons and storms, which made us stronger. My trip to Dagupan was ‘bitin’ though I was able to do a lot of things and yes, I finally took good care of my health by going to three clinics for a check-up.

DAVAO  -I booked a flight to Davao last September. I took advantage of the promo fare that month. I went to Davao by myself with no plans or whatsoever. Thank God Kuya Drew and Ate Ria were there to tour me around Davao. It was a very relaxing trip and my stomach was never empty LOL. The moment the plane landed in Davao International Airport was magical because it rained. The taxi driver told me that it means goodluck. I guess that’s true. I had a number of funny encounters in Davao and to be honest, I felt like Davao is a bigger version of Dagupan-  clean, peaceful and full of wonderful people 😛

I will be blogging about the 3 D’s soon. I think every keyword deserves a long blog entry so I’ll cut this short for now and wait for my much detailed blog entries! Woot!
