I received an invitation from Regal Films’ PR Head to join them on the last shooting day of ‘The Bride and the Lover’, an upcoming sexy-comedy film under the direction of Joel Lamangan and screenplay by Rody Vera. It stars the in-demand Kapamilya leading man Paulo Avelino and Kapuso leading ladies Jennylyn Mercado and Lovi Poe.

I met up with Mr. Jun Lalin and the rest of the media writers at the lobby area of Imperial Palace Suites. The location of the last shooting day is in Fernwood Gardens. I remember this one incident wherein we got lost when we had to attend a wedding reception there many years ago.

The staff and crew where preparing for the next scene when we arrived. Direk joel Lamangan welcomed the press people with open arms. I am quite curious on how he works on the set since I heard mixed feedbacks from his previous projects. Apparently, he’s quite cool. Maybe he finds the staff of this production a bit more laidback (or in short they can deliver).

I then saw Lovi Poe in a green gown together with Hayden Kho and other tall guys in dark blue. Wait… Hayden Kho. That’s my former boss!
They were about to shoot a scene when they saw me. Lovi waved hello to us and so did Hayden. Jennylyn Mercado is dressed in a white wedding gown – I believe she got more prettier after she gave birth to Alex Jazz. I spotted Paulo Avelino and Joem Bascon too.
We stayed there for just two hours and I end up talking more to the former boss. It’s been years since I last saw him and I’m glad to know that he’s fine. I just hope that he’ll be careful with the showbiz projects he’s going to do.
Seeing Paulo Avelino again made me smile. Almost two years ago, I interviewed him for Aswang. That serves as his first mainstream movie project as a leading man. He was scheduled to portray the role of Nathan in ABS-CBN’s Walang Hanggan. Now, the cute guy from the Mt. Province is standing infront of me – and he just won an award for his amazing performance on the show. Who wouldn’t be proud of him?

I wasn’t able to talk to Lovi Poe much this time because we had to leave right away. I also missed the chance to say hello to Jennylyn Mercado nor take a decent photo of her. Sad. Maybe on the movie presscon, I’d be able to make kulit and interfere them LOL.
The Bride vs. The Lover…. or is it another way around? Or will the girls end up together instead? Joke lang 😛
The Bride and The Lover is set to be released sometime in May 2013. I’ll keep you posted once I receive more updates on this new film 😀
