I am packing my stuff for tomorrow! I’ll be returning to Dagupan City and this time, I am tagging some blogger friends with me for a seminar at my beloved alma mater, Lyceum-Northwestern University.
I’ve been invited as a speaker to several blogging events and most of the time, I am sharing my own insights on Basics of Blogging (Blogging 101) and Personal Blogging. Usually, I’d meet aspiring bloggers after each talk and i’d see them work on their own platforms a month after. The Philippine Blogging Community is indeed growing.
On Friday, I am set to do another Blogging 101 talk. This time, the venue is in the place where I used to perform as a high school and college student. To be honest, i am more nervous than ever because i’m quite sure i’ll be seeing a number of familiar faces who made my college life colorful and worth remembering.
L-NU’s 2011 Conference on IT Concepts: A slice of the Web Today will be held on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Dr. Salvador T. Duque Field House, Lyceum-Northwestern University, Dagupan City. It is a first for my beloved alma mater to organize a seminar related to Blogging, Social Media Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. The program starts at 8AM and most of the attendees are IT students and those taking up Basic Computer. Yikes. It reminds me of the time wherein I used to help in organizing events for our department. Fun times!
Joining me on Friday are  my blogger friends Hannah Villasis of Flaircandy.com (Social Media and Marketing) and Fitz Villafuerte of FitzVillafuerte.com and ThirstyBlogger.com (Understanding Search Engines). My former instructor Mr. Gerald C. Bataoil, MIT will give a talk on Vigilant Internet Surfing and Netiquette.
We’re also set to take the Dawel River Cruise via Dagupan City’s Tourism Office and we will also visit the restaurant version of Plato Wraps in Calasiao, Pangasinan. I’m excited to gallivant in my hometown with my travel buddies!
