After watching all the independent films created by our beloved Filipino filmmakers, everyone is anticipating for the Cinemalaya Awards Night. Who will bag the Best Film Award? Best Actor? Best Actress? These questions are meant to be answered in that particular Sunday Night.
Just like any other Cinemalaya addicts, I went to the Cultural Center of the Philippines at 5pm despite the heavy rain. For the last time, I went around the  souvenir wall and took some photos. The directors and celebrities of the competing films gamely posed for the cameras and granted interview requests from the press and their supporters.
Now let’s proceed to the awards night proper! Photo story na lang, ha? 🙂

I was able to talk to some of the cast and crew of the participating films. I’m happy that Cinemalaya surpassed their target number of audience. They also revealed the plan of adding Gateway Mall in their list of participating cinemas for the festival next year. Good sign for the Philippine movie industry! 😀
As of writing, The movies Ang Babae sa Septic Tank and Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me will announce its commercial run schedules for the month of August. I am hoping that the other films will have the opportunity to reach a wider audience too. Let the rest of the Filipinos see the unseen! 😀
