This is a trip that I never imagined will push through. Bagyong Falcon is about to hit the country and I am in Dagupan City, Pangasinan last Thursday. I asked some of my travel blogger friends if the scheduled trip to Puerto Princesa will still push through. Most of us were hesitant because of the weather. When they finally confirmed that the weather in Puerto Princesa is good, I decided to take a bus trip from Dagupan at 6:30PM. Despite the heavy rain in some areas, i arrived safely in our house at 11PM.
I didn’t sleep during the whole duration of the bus trip. I didn’t sleep at home too even if i still have enough time to take a nap. I did some online tasks then packed my luggage at 4am. I once asked my companions if the trip will still push through since it’s raining hard that time. With the confirmation, I took a taxi to NAIA Terminal 3 to meet up with Robbie, Winston, Eric, Anton, Rochelle and JC with the staff of AirPhil Express (Line, Nicole, Mike and Brian). It’s not my first time to visit Puerto Princesa, but what made this trip exciting is that i’ll be enjoying the whole tour with some of my favorite travel companions. Also, our itinerary is loaded with activities and i’ve never been to some of the places listed. Exciting!
Our calltime is 5:30am and we were all on time. I’m glad that the weather in Manila and Puerto Princesa during the flight schedule is ok. We spotted another fellow travel blogger/friend Marky on the same flight. It seems like a lot of people wants a piece of sunshine on a rainy season, yes? π
We arrived in the Puerto Princesa Airport on time. Ms. Anne, our tour guide entertained us while we were on our way to Marianne Home Inn, our home for the next three days.
After check-in, the group went straight to Honda Bay for the island hopping tour. Some of the stops covered are Pandan Island (where we ate our lunch – Kamayan Mode!), Snake Island (Halo-Halo with mini pictorial LOL) and Pambato Reef. The waves were strong that day. We were like kids having fun snorkeling, swimming and eating. Happy Friday, that is π
Just like a real family, we ate dinner together at Marianne Home Inn. Don’t you just love to eat and chat with cool people at the same time? π
For me, the main highlight of the whole tour is the Firefly Tour at Iwahig River because it is something that I haven’t done in my previous trips to Puerto Princesa. It’s good that I didn’t look up online on how the activity goes because I really had a unique tour experience. We were just sitting pretty on our boat as the assigned boatman entertained us with some interesting facts about fireflies and astrology. I didn’t want that tour to end that night. I wasn’t able to take good pictures because it’s dark and yeah, i want to enjoy!
For our second day, the group took the Underground River Tour at Sabang, Puerto Princesa. It’s nice to see some foreign and local tourists in this place. We even met a group of Malaysian journalists there! π I am hoping that the Underground River will make it to the 7 Wonders of The World Poll.
For our lunch, we went to Sabang Beach and yes, i ate the famous Tamilok! It’s not as bad as most of us imagined it to be. Pang-pulutan nga siya eh! π Right after lunch, Anton, Winston, Eric, Brian, Mike and I enjoyed the rest of the afternoon competing with the strong waves as some of our companions had their siesta moment at the cottage.
Our dinner that evening at Marianne Home Inn is awesome not just because of the food, but because of the live comedic entertainment courtesy of my beloved travelistas. Sila na ang may karir bilang stand-up comedians kapag ayaw na nilang mag-blog! Haha π We went to the Puerto Princesa Baywalk and tried Thanh-Tam’s Chao Long while watching Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 LOL!
We woke up the next day for the City Tour. Some of places that we visited are Plaza Cuartel, Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral, Tiangge Tiangge, Mitra’s Ranch, Baker’s Hill and Binuatan Creations, where i found some really colorful bags!
We ate lunch at Marianne Home Inn (at home na at home talaga, noh? hehe) and went straight to the airport for our flight. I’m glad that i am part of AirPhil Express’ Puerto Princesa Fam Tour, which will be available starting this Friday, July 1.
Thank you so much to AirPhil Express for the safe flight and the opportunity to enjoy Puerto Princesa’s beauty with the Fam Tour! Awesome! π
This is just a preview post about my Puerto Princesa Fam Tour Experience with AirPhil Express. Upcoming Puerto Princesa-related posts will be published at Senyorita.net this week. Once again, the Puerto Princesa Fam Tour will be available by July 1 at AirPhil Express! Wooooot!
