While the whole Philippines were stuck at home for the most-anticipated Pacquiao – Cotto match, a few bloggers and techies went to World Trade Center at Pasay to attend the iBlogMini, which is a part of the 2009 Consumer Electronics Live. I was able to attend the last day of CEL last year at SM MoA and I enver thought that I’d be a part of it this year.

Me singing? Nah. I'm talking about the Basics of Blogging here =P
I was tasked to discuss about the Basics of Blogging or Blogging 101. Since I did a talk with AJ Matela last May for iBlog5, I just added some last minute changes at the slide presentation. I simply discussed about the definition, reasons to blog, types of blogs (according to form and genre), the 4 C’s of setting up a blog and random tips and advice for the new bloggers.

Ate Aileen answers the questions of the attendees.

Anton Diaz talks about Blogging to the Next Level

Speakers of the iBlogMini
The speakers for the iBlogMini are Aileen Apolo (Photoblogging/Videoblogging 101), Janette Toral (Mobile Blogging 101), Noemi Dado (Blog Promotion & Traffic Generation Strategies 101) and Anton Diaz (Blogging to the Next Level). My high school bestfriend Maire went with me since she really wants to learn more about blogging and she listened attentively to the speakers especially to me LOL (that’s what friends are for, right?…. RIGHT?!?)
Here are more photos taken during the summit:

Speakers with Ms. Donna and Atty. JJ Dissini

Spotted Sire and Leirs
While waiting for my turn and after the program, Maire and I went around the stalls. We were able to canvass for the prices of some gadgets. Hmmm… Should I save up for a new laptop or a new camera? The car display is being mobbed by the photographers and camwhores alike. Here are some of the photos we took with the cars:

Maire likes this car!

Micamyx likes this!

Ok, this is really Maire's dream car!

How i wish i can drive real fast!
One fo the stalls offered a free Pacquiao-Cotto replay. Look!

Kahit pala COTTO na-knockout sa Head and Shoulders! Now we know =P
To sum it up, we really had fun during the event. It is fun to see a pool of audience listening to your talk and asking questions. It shows that they are willing to learn more about blogging.I would like to thank Ms. Janette Toral for trusting me once more to talk in the event. I feel so honored and truly happy. =)
