August 8, 2009 – The night Patay Gutom was proclaimed as one of the Emerging Influential Blogs of 2009. Too bad I wasn’t able to attend the event because I was in Cebu City.
So how was my second day in Cebu? Well, I slept the whole morning. The Kemboteras namely Eric, Aaron and Shena arrived in the Hotel that morning and went straight to CnT Lechon. I, on the other hand had different plans. We will be riding the popular Edge Coaster, meet up with a cousin whom I never met before and dinner with the Cebu Bloggers Society at Larsian’s Barbeque.
McBilly, Angelo and I met up at Crown Regency Plaza for the Edge Coaster ride. Though the entrance fee is expensive, I still pushed through with the plan. I guess watching the Trip na Trip Edge Coaster episode at one of Cebu’s channels a couple of times brought out the adventurous side of me.
What can I say about the ride? Bitin. You can refer to my earlier post for more information and photos. What I really liked about the place is the look and feel. The three of us took lots of wacky photos with the popular Asian poses. We did roam around the hotel as well.
Angelo and I went straight to Starbucks Ayala to meet up with my cousin named Justin. He is a tall and handsome teenager. He’s 15 years old yet he is already a third year business administration student in a University in Singapore! Isn’t that amazing? The cool thing there is he is not the nerdish type. He is like a twenty two year old trapped in a teen’s body. He gave me some pasalubongs like Dried Mangos, Chicharon and Otap. Yum!
We went straight to Larsian’s Barbeque to meet up with the Cebu Bloggers Society and the Kemboteras. I am really happy upon seeng Bryan, X and the rest of the gang. Too bad I wasn’t able to talk to them that much. Medyo nagkakahiyaan pa kasi and I only managed to memorize one bisaya word waaah T_T. Hindi magaling na teacher si Bryan LOL. We ate Pork Barbeque and Isaw. Love it! I want to go back!
I think we finished eating dinner at around 9PM. We went straight to Jollibee at IT Park and talked about random stuff – Blogosphere chismax to Boys to Girls to Loveteams (sino yung dalawang naka-purple? Hihi), Itineraries, Kembots, Kembots and more Kembots! And yeah, we saw a lot of Koreanz in Cebu, but we failed to record our own version of the Nobarreh dance π
We all went home at 11:30PM and we went straight to the hotel room to sleep and recharge for the Grand Kembot day!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Cebu Bloggers Society for making us feel welcome. Sa uulitin! π
