Spontaneous – > The perfect adjective to describe my third day in Cebu City with the Kemboteras.
We originally planned of going to Carcar and Talisay that Sunday. ‘Bohol’ also popped out in one of our conversations. With no final decision on how we should spend the next day, we ended up saying ‘Bahala na’ before going to sleep.
As expected, the four of us woke up late =P Thanks to Sinjin for waking us up at our hotel room. We ate our late breakfast while taking turns in using the bathroom. We canceled our out of town plans and decided to just eat lunch at the famous Abuhan Dos, where the famous Pochero is found.
We were all craving for the Filipino Dish. We ended up ordering the Special Pochero and Sizzling Pochero. The Patay Gutom in us were unleashed at that very moment so after taking the mouth-watering photos, silence emerged at the table and we started eating fast.
Bong and Nico arrived from Bantayan Island. We managed to eat our dessert (Mais Con Yelo and Halo-Halo) while they’re eating lunch.
The group decided to go to Crown Regency Hotel for the Edge Coaster ride. Shena, Aaron and Bong were excited. Eric didn’t want to ride, but then he was forced to do so haha 😀 Before going to the 38th floor, the Kemboteras managed to take some photos ala Click Barkada:
The next stop is the Capitol. Since there were less people around the place, we managed to take different kinds of shots – Jumpshots, Military shots, Emo shots, Tumbling Shots and Kembot Shots! Shena even dared to do a jump shot at the pedestrian lane with her yellow shirt on haha 😀
We went to Tabaoan Market for the world-famous Cebu Danggit. All of us bought for our loving families in Manila. We went to Shamrock after to buy more pasalubongs such as Dried Mangoes, Otap, Chicharon among others. I ended up eating my own pasalubong originally intended for my officemates. Fail.
The Kemboteras went straight to Taoist Temple. Unfortunately, the guard didn’t let us in =(
The group went back to Hotel Pier Cuatro to check out emails and take a short nap. We went straight to Golden Cowrie at 7PM to eat dinner. The place specializes in Native Dishes and I fell in love with the Baked Scallops. Another plus factor is the refillable rice. Sabi nga nila, ang tunay na lalaki ay nag-eextra rice. (Bakit ko na naman nasingit yun?! LOL)
We proceeded to IT Park after dinner. Nagmuni-muni lang. We later on took some photos in front of Waterfront… Errr… at the busy street, I mean. Kids, don’t do this, ok?!
We went to a 24 hour convenient store after to have a drink. I forgot the name of the place LOL. After a few minutes, Bong informed us that he is in Mooon Café. I remember Winston mentioning the place to me once so there we went 😀
We drank and we had the chance to say hi to Doyskie and some of his friends. Too bad he wasn’t able to sit and chat with us. Next time 😀
The night ended up with a bang. What bang? May kulitan, gutuman, plurk-plurkan, takutan, kakornihan, kachorvahan sa hotel room. Woot! Kembot Day is a tiresome yet happy day. Priceless =) Writing this post made me miss them more. Awwww .
Thanks to Sinjin for the photos! Food-related entries will be posted soon at Patay Gutom.
