I’m currently blogging live from Dagupan City, my beloved hometown. I went here at my original home mainly for an event organized by some people really close to me during the days when I was still a struggling student LOL.
On Saturday, a newly-organized group called ‘Juxtapose’ will be having their first event called ‘Proud to be Dagupeño: Rave Party and Photoshoot for a Cause’. It is a collaboration of photographers, make-up artists, stylists and event organizers who wishes to promote Dagupan City’s tourism through cool events such as this one. This is their first venture and I am quite excited for them!
Most probably you’re wondering why I took the effort to go here for a single party. Let me share why…
Months ago, Stephen Munoz, a very special mentor of mine asked me if I can go home to cover this event. He is the man behind my addiction in the internet. I met him when I was in Grade 5 and he was the one in-charge at the Internet Laboratory in our school’s library. He would let me use the internet for free even on weekends 😛 Because of my exposure to the worldwideweb despite the fact that we don’t have any computer at home, I was able to enhance my web skills and here I am now blogging and making a living through my online gigs 😛 He is partly to blame… and thank 😀 As a sign of gratitude to his greatness (without him realizing that he did really help me), I am more than willing to support this event 😀
Also included in the group is Noah Asanias, a co-FQD graduate. I’m ahead of him for one year and I remember him as the small and quiet kid LOL. Apparently, he is now into advertising and photography and creating a name of his own here in Pangasinan. It’s nice to see some FQDians who were once quiet and shy yet look at them now! 😀 Also included in the group are co-FQDians Renz Posedio and Harold Ancheta.
Of course, I will never forget CJ Cuison, my batchmate and my partner in crime when it comes to acting and dancing way back in high school. Ten years ago, we were partners in a project for our elective subject (Rags to Riches, remember? :P). He is now working with a high position in a hospital somewhere here in Dagupan City and I am really proud of him. Well, I really believed in his talent and passion eversince we were in high school. Such a talented Dagupeno! (like me :P)
Upon my arrival from La Union, I went to their office and checked their studio. It’s not yet fully furnished because they’re concentrating on the Saturday event this week. Later on, the studio will be open for photoshoots and other projects. I personally can’t wait for my photoshoot with them woot 😛
Want to join us on Saturday? We’re inviting you all to party with us on October 16, 7PM to 1:30AM at VENU Bar. It is an open bar photoshoot.
