Last Wednesday was pretty hectic yet memorable day for me. I wasn’t able to get some sleep because I had to work on some articles for my freelance writing gigs. Our call time for the shoot is 9:30AM at GNN’s new studio. I published my last article at 7:30AM. In short, I just ate breakfast and went straight to the guesting with a sleepyhead T_T.

On my way there, the taxi driver even asked me if i was able to catch some sleep. Maybe he noticed my eyebags and I was drinking a cold mocha drink while on the cab. Listening to a Filipino novelty song in the morning helps to keep me awake, i guess.

Now Micamyx is in the studio! I’m glad to see Tita Janette, Jonas (again!? LOL) and Jay-L in GNN’s Lobby. Hannah and Vince arrived a few minutes after. Hannah and I were able to catch up and I felt better. I missed my sexy energetic friend!

A few minutes after, we were asked to enter the studio. We were interviewed about our respective blogs that earned recognition at the Emerging Influential Blogs of 2010. If you were able to catch that episode live, you’d notice that I was stuttering in some parts. Hannah’s questions were easy to answer like who is your inspiration behind your videos. My lame answer? My friends and it depends on the place. I didn’t even give justice to my answer. I should have added some flower-y statements LOL (ok, yet another lame excuse LOL)

After the live guesting, the group decided to eat in a specific restaurant somewhere in UP Technohub. I then asked if they can drop me off first in this certain bank because I need to deposit some money for my friend since she needs it very badly. I promised though that I will follow.

As expected, the line in the bank at lunch time is very long. I managed to pay after 30 minutes and i immediately took a cab. Since I was sleepless, I told the taxi driver to bring me to UP Technohub. I told him clearly to bring me to UP Technohub. Since I am not traveling frequently in the area. I didn’t complain much with the directions.

I was sort of wondering though because I found myself in a familiar place. Wait, this is Ortigas area, right?! WTH WHY AM I IN ORTIGAS?!?!

I asked the driver then where am I.

‘I’m taking you to Technohub’

FAIL FAIL FAIL! I said UP Technohub, not the one in Ortigas!

‘So that means i’m going to pay extra money because of your mistake?’ I asked furiously.

‘If you want, you can just ride the bus’ he suggested.

And his suggestion made me more mad! I called Hannah and explained what happened. She was worried about me, but she suggested that I should eat ice cream. She said that eating ice cream can someone help one feel better after a very bad, bad moment.

And I needed Ice Cream.

I asked him to drop me off to Virramall, where the Haagen Dazs store is located. I bought the new Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit Flavor:

FYI, Haagen Dazs ice cream is one of my stress relievers when I was still working in Makati. My boss loved Haagen Dazs’ Strawberry Flavor and he kept on buying for the whole team. I miss those days.

Since I had a bad day, why not give myself a treat?

I went straight at home to eat lunch, eat ice cream for dessert and melt to dreamland. If you have cats, be careful with ice cream around them.

Do not disturb. Slow melting in progress.

I closed the door of my room, turned the aircon on, played my favorite song and started to eat my treat for myself: Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit.

Then I closed my eyes…. Wait, where am I?

Why am I at the beach? Wow, I’m in paradise!

With two of my cutest friends Edcel and Darwin…

…. and Gael is here too! She’s not traveling solo! I’m not here as a solo traveler as well!

Am I in Haagen Dazs Island? I’m slowly melting and I am tempted to simply stay here forever. It feels good to be here!

This Caramel Biscuit gives me the perfect moment I deserve – All the stress in my mind and body busted, my good friends are with me and the place, whew, the place! I’m in paradise! I love this feeling! I love it!

Then snap, I was just dreaming 😐

I am still in my room in Metro Manila, alone with no cute friends around me but Haagen Dazs Caramel Biscuit just gave me a dose of heaven.

One more cup, please!
