SCRABBLE – Form Six Words and Express Yourself

Right after work, I went straight at home hoping that my internet connection is already fixed. Unfortunately, I found myself in a situation wherein i’d rather use a dial-up connection than use my wireless broadband. It ruined my blogging schedule for three straight nights!

Form Six Words and Express Yourself

Instead of feeling sorry for myself and declare it as an ‘unproductive’ night, I decided to edit some of the videos I took for my Project52Weeks. I admit that I have tons of ร‚ย backlogs but I am slowly (but surely) working on it. I was able to edit four – One is a videoke presentation with my Cebu friends (Isang Lahi FTW!), One is a Survivor-like video with Ada and Jenny during our first trip to Puerto Princesa (nananaginip lang ba tayo?!), One is an interview with the one and only Gabe Mercado where I asked him about his video blog, his showbiz commitments and the late-rockeoke (huhu) and I also have a short film which is quite serious compared to the rest of the videos I previously presented to my audience.

The SEAIR and Microtel Boracay Dream Vacation

Two years ago, I won in a writing contest spearheaded by SEAIR. I won tickets supposedly for Palawan, but then the last minute, we were given tickets for a Boracay trip. I didn’t complain because it will be my grandparents’ first time to visit Boracay and it is also my friend Maire’s dream to go there.

Going back to Boracay... Hopefully, this year!

Going back to Boracay... Hopefully, this year!

My first SEAIR experience is a memorable one. It was my first time to ride again in a plane after 15 years and seeing my grandparents happy before we reached Caticlan airport is priceless. The whole trip was fast too! I remember Maire taking lots of pictures because it is her first airplane experience.

Have Baby, Will Blog

Were you able to read the Summit Media book Have Baby, Will Date? Or were you able to catch the TV version of the said chicklit on TV5 where Valerie Concepcion played the lead role? Well, any of the two mentioned ร‚ย has nothing to do with this blog entry LOL ๐Ÿ˜›

Last Saturday, Ada and I went to Greenhills after our shoot for Tek Tok TV. We found out that Hannah’s scheduled to host a seminar somewhere in Promenade Mall and since we have nothing to do, we decided to take a sneak peak at the event.

web-safety

Keep that in mind, dear parents!

We saw Carlo Ople talking in front while Sir Sonny invited us to join. I then found out that it is a Cyber Safety Campaign for Parents seminar. Obviously, we didn’t really have plans of staying since it is a seminar designed for parents. Carlo’s talk somewhat caught my attention because he was speaking about online gaming addiction when we came in. We decided to stay ๐Ÿ˜›

The next speaker that day is Sir Sonny, who then discussed about keeping your kids safe from possible harm that can be seen online. He narrated how he gained his son’s trust and vice versa. He also emphasized on the importance of building that ‘offline’ connection with your kids. Spending time with them and being a role model to them is the most effective way of teaching a little kid. It somewhat reminded me on how I was brought up by my parents.

When I was in elementary, I am frequently seen in the library reading books and I kept on borrowing them just for the sake of having my library card filled out LOL. These days, kids rely on the internet for their research and assignments. Everything works in an instant and technology is the one to thank (or to blame?) because we can now access information in just a snap.

All throughout the talk, I was quiet at my seat. I remember Ada asking me from time to time ‘Huy, anong iniisip mo?’, ‘Oi badet bakit tahimik ka?’ ‘Inaantok ka na ‘noh?’ – Ang Kulit eh haha but well.. what was i really thinking while at my seat?

See, I am already 23 years old. In fact, I am already in the marrying age. I have a stable job and yes, i can produce a baby now LOL. A cousin of mine gave birth last Sunday and we’re at the same age so yeah, basically i am now capable of making babies. Plenty of babies!

But errr… I dunno. Am I ready to really have one? Financially, I can say I am now capable of supporting a little kid’s needs with the help of the father. Physically, I also am (with a sexy yet healthy body like mine LOL!) but Emotionally, I don’t think I am. Mentally too.

Then I thought of these scenarios:

Micamyx and Adaphobic on Tek Tok TV

Guesting on a TV show with one of your craziest blogger friend on a Saturday is fun! Yesterday, Ada Lajara of Adaphobic and I went to Global News Network’s studio for the advanced taping of Tek Tok TV. It is a tech show aired every Wednesday morning in Destiny Cable’s Global News Network. It is hosted by Vince Golangco of WhenInManila.com and of course, my ever sexy friend Hannah Villasis of FlairCandy.com.

Ada and I were quite excited when we received the invitation from Vince to finally guest on the show. Usually, the blogger feature part is concentrated on one blogger per show. I guess two is better than one especially if the two bloggers featured on the episode share a lot of things in common. ร‚ย During the interview, we were able to share some of our personal insights about blogging, the benefits of being a blogger and gave random tips for the newbies. The fun part is when we were asked to narrate on how Ada and I became good friends and we were able to share some of our travel pictures (then I realized we’ve to a LOT of places already! ๐Ÿ˜› )

My 7th Trip to Cebu City

Whenever there are seat sales or anything, the first place that pops in my mind is Cebu. There are many factors on why I keep on going back to Cebu and it’s becoming an addiction. Like what I mentioned in my previous post, my trip to Cebu last weekend is my 7th in one year.

Micamyx @ Be Resorts - Relaxed and Happy ๐Ÿ™‚

So how did my solo trip to Cebu go? (Yes, solo flight again!). I took the earliest Cebu Pacific flight to Cebu last Friday and went straight to Crowne Garden Hotel to sleep. I woke up at around 1PM and went immediately to Ayala Mall Cebu to meet up with Tito Gerry. We went to Casa Verde for my late lunch (it’s his first time there LOL) and we were able to bond and talk about my great grandfather, who is a renowned doctor of leprosy here in the Philippines. Want to know who he is? Clue: Tala Leprosarium. We rarely had the chance to bond in the past family reunions. I’m happy that we were able to share stories and learn from each other. I originally planned to meet up with two more relatives of mine, but errr… they’re too busy. Maybe next time ^_^

Random Thoughts Before I Pack My Things For Cebu

For the 7th time, I am packing packing my things and I am set to leave for Cebu City hours from now. My flight is 4:15am and I am expected to arrive at Mactan International Airport at 5:40AM. This is the main reason why Cebu will enjoy a holiday today LOL I kid XD

This is how it feels like to be at the top of the world!

This is how it feels like to be at the top of the world! (August 2009)

Same time last year, I was excited to finally go to Cebu City. I heard a lot of good things about Cebu when I was a little kid. In fact, my grandfather was born there, but he didn’t really spend his childhood there. I have a few relatives living at the Queen City of the South and I had the chance to meet some of them on my 1st, 2nd and 4th trip.

I first landed Cebu on the 7th of August last year. I tried the edge coaster ride (which btw is not that scary after all), met up with the Cebu Blogger Society members, went out with long lost friends and made kembot all over the city ๐Ÿ˜› To be honest, it was my most memorable Cebu trip. I can’t really find the words to describe it. I dunno LOL.

Night Swimming on the 31st of July

I had a pretty hectic Saturday last weekend. I attended the press launch of Department of Tourism’s (DOT) at Manila Ocean Park with fellow travel bloggers. After the press launch and late lunch, Eric, Prince, Winston and I went around and play around like little kids inside the venue.

Ada, Hannah, Winston and Mica

I was more excited for the get-together that night since the Nyoks planned a simple dinner for the one and only Batang Yagit. I went straight at our condo while he went straight to Hidalgo to buy a birthday gift for himself (Lens naman.. buti na lang at hindi na gadget!). While he’s busy scouting for the best present, we were quite busy… waiting for him LOL.

Why I Love Jade Lopez – The Real Survivor!

STARSTRUCK BATCH 1: They dreamed, believed and survived!

STARSTRUCK BATCH 1: They dreamed, believed and survived!

HERE’S ANOTHER INTERESTING TRIVIA ABOUT ME: I am a big Starstruck Season 1 Fan.

Yes I really am! I was one of those high school students who got hooked and thrilled with the very first reality-based artista search in the Philippines. I was one of those internet addicts who would regularly post in forums and Yahoo Groups just to keep in touch with co-fanatics. You can ask me some information about them and there is a big chance that I’d give you the right answer.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egvPmzxQoK8&w=480&h=385]

I am not really sure if you are a regular viewer of the show, but some of its popular graduates of the first batch include Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Yasmien Kurdi, Rainier Castillo, Katrina Halili, Tyron Perez and Cristine Reyes.

Although the 14 Starstruck finalists were all talented and good-looking, there’s this one girl whom I really liked among the rest. Her name is Jade Lopez.

On Revisiting Puerto Princesa Through Microtel and Hopia/Noodle Party on a Plane

Wondering where I was last weekend? I, together with travel bloggers Anton, Melo, Eric, Ferdz, Dong and Winston went to Microtel Puerto Princesa for a fun-filled break. I was in the ‘City Within The Forest’ months ago and that was the most relaxing trip I had. Revisiting Puerto Princesa still gives me that excitement to explore and take pictures. I am the only female blogger in the group. I’m glad that Norsan and Jewel of Microtel were with us ๐Ÿ™‚

Though it was my second time to go there, the trip was pretty memorable because of the following firsts: 1) My first Microtel Puerto Princesa accommodation 2.) My first sky aviation flight 3.) My first time to see Nagtabon Cove 4.) My first time to bond with Anton, Ferdz and Dong ร‚ 5.) My first diverted flight experience (and accidental Hopia/Noodle Party).

Share and Bond with Family and Friends with SHAREOREO!

I have a confession to make: When I was younger, I managed to eat a whole pack of OREO cookies in a short span of 2 minutes (my classmates and I had a dare when we found out our Science teacher was sick ๐Ÿ˜› ). It is also the reason why our group was called once as the ‘Cookie Monster Troupe’ ๐Ÿ˜›

SHAREOREO

I would like to inform my dear readers that OREO is giving away FREE OREO COOKIES! Yes, you can grab a bite and enjoy their newly-introduced strawberry and chocolate snack packs. Surely, the kids would love these!
