3 generations: Mom, Me and Rae.  We spent all afternoon at a resto in Timog, playing card games and chatting about…well nothing and everything.  Memories are made of days like this and I keep this pic to remind me/fill me with happy thoughts even in the most challenging of times.

Woohoo! New Blog Theme Up!

I am excited to inform everyone that after two years (ermm… almost), I finally have a new personalized theme!

I would like to thank the Lajara sisters Ada and Sab for this wonderful birthday gift! To be honest, I am really in love with my old blog theme (the one with an emo girl at the header LOL). I love it due to its simplicity. I want my blog visitors to focus more on my content rather than the design or anything else.

Months ago, a close blogger friend of mine advised me to change my blog theme for a change. He had a constructive remark (i’d like to believe it is constructive hehe) that my old blog look doesn’t really look good in other browsers (which is true, btw). I tried to look for other free wordpress themes, but I failed to find the perfect theme for me. I am a fan of the traditional blog look and the themes wherein the categories are at the main page somewhat gives me too much pressure to blog.

CONTEST ALERT! Krispy Kreme Treats for Mommy

Last May 9, 2010, the whole world celebrated Mother’s Day. It is the time of the year wherein we give extra attention to our mom by treating them as a queen even just for a day. How I wish my mom is with me so I can pamper her with all my heart. I’d love to shop, dine and hangout with her!

I went to my favorite doughnut place last Mother’s Day and tried the new Krispy Kreme Mango Kreme Cake and Chiller. It is a perfect treat for the mothers. I also consider this combo as my ‘sweet escape’ from work and the heat 😛

Davao Food Appreciation Tour 2010 Day One

Two weeks ago, a number of Manila, General Santos, CDO and Davao-based bloggers met up and united for the yearly Davao Food Appreciation Tour (DFAT). I wanted to join last year, but I wasn’t able to make it in the final list. No regrets though because I had a very, very, very fun DFAT experience this year!

Mica, Cai and Ada Plurking in Davao City! Weee!

It is my second time to go to Davao City. Last April 30, Ada, Cai and I met up to take the earliest flight to bound for Davao via ZestAir. We arrived in the Davao International Airport at 6AM and we went straight to Viajeros Inn for our early breakfast. Our sleepyheads went to our temporary room after eating 😛

The Surprise McDo Kiddie Party

Were you able to read my blog post yesterday? I mentioned in my wish list that I want a McDo Kiddie Party for my 23rd birthday. I got the idea from a friend who hosted a Christmas Party for us years ago.

We had fun games, similar to qqmacan, and were complete with party hats, balloons and kiddie treats. I really want to have one that’s why I wrote the following:

Turning 23 in a Kiddie Way - Love Ko 'Toh!

Turning 23 in a Kiddie Way – Love Ko ‘Toh!

MCDO KIDDIE PARTY – I want my very own Mc Donald’s Kiddie Party complete with party hats and balloons. I want to play games too with jackstones as the prize and yes, I want to see Grimace dance and clap his hands LOL. (Sorry Jollibee, Honey Bee. Had my Jolly Kiddie Party when I was six teehee)

Who would have thought that even before I published that blog entry, my Nyok friends were already planning a surprise kiddie party for me?!

Bente Tres

I’m turning twenty three years old a few hours from now. When I was nineteen years old, a friend of mine who has psychic powers predicted that things will change in my life once I turn twenty three in terms of career, love and life in general.

We did it, Honey Bee :P

We did it, Honey Bee 😛

Taurus people are known for being creative and emotional and I agree on that. I want to be emo right now, but I just can’t. Looking back at the previous months, I can say that I am really blessed – I’ve been to many places (Cebu, Tagaytay, Pampanga, Subic, Palawan, Dumaguete, Sumilon Island, Macau and Davao – From January to April pa lang ‘yan!), I still have a stable job (nothing beats getting paid doing what you really love to do!), My blogs are now improving (though less updated LOL), I have three short films under my belt (with the help of my talented friends, of course!), My online and offline friends are supportive and yes, i’ll be reunited with my mom and brother in England this November!

The only thing that I lack right now is my love life, but heck, I’m just twenty three years old. That can wait 😛

For the meantime, I would like to share my very own ‘wish list’.  I don’t really require (require talaga ginamit na term LOL) my friends or relatives to give me any of which, but I simply want to post it here.

‘Out of my Mind’ by Techy Romantics Music Video

I had a very, very tiring day. I am currently thinking of my backlogs and other writing assignments as I type this entry. Not only that, I am also packing my stuff because I am leaving at 4am to Davao for the DFAT (Davao Food Appreciation Tour). Surely, I will gain extra weight and will have much fun with my Davao-based friends (especially Mr. Alleba LOL), Manila Friends especially the Nyoks woot 😀

Techy Romantics' Out of my Mind

Too many things to do, right? But I am in a chillin’ mode now. Just saw the official music video of Techy Romantics’ Out of My Mind. The said video premiered a few days ago at Myx and so far, so good, it is receiving a lot of positive feedback! Kudos to the director Nico Puertollano.

Here’s the music video of Techy Romantics’ Out of my Mind. I simply love it. It’s soooo cute! 😀

Adobo@Night Film Festival – On Cinemalaya Shorts and Himpapawid

Last night, Maki and I went to Adobo Magazine’s Adobo@Night Film Festival. When I was invited by Tita Janette of Blog4Reviews if I want to attend and watch some Pinoy independent films, I immediately said yes 😛

adobonight10

Adobo@Night Film Festival here we come! 😀

We arrived at On Cue at around 6pm. There were three films scheduled to be shown that night: Raymond Red’s Himpapawid, Brillante Mendoza’s Kinatay and Jerrod Tarog’s Confessional. We chose the first film as suggested by the staff of Abodo Magazine who were in-charge in the registration.

Six Years of Waiting – High School Yearbook

Last Friday, I met up with some of my Manila-based High School batchmates. It is my first time to see some of them since graduation day. The main agenda of the meet-up? Our HS Yearbook.

Yes, our High School Yearbook! I am not sure if I am authorized to disclose the main reason why it took THAT long before the memorabilia was released, but at least it is now up for grabs, right? The only sad thing there is hindi man lang siya na-bind. Uh oh.

Write-up about me taken from High School Yearbook (2004)

Write-up about me taken from High School Yearbook (2004)

Well, that is not really important IMO. I was looking forward to reading some of the write-ups written by the people behind the yearbook project.

I was surprised upon seeing the alloted page for me. My graduation and casual photo was there. My e-mail address is a combination of my nickname+my celebrity crush. My home address is similar to my school address. My motto is “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em!” and my ambition was “to be successful in the entertainment industry”. Wow. And it is nice to know that in a way, i am making that dream come true step by step 🙂

What made me really giggle like a sixteen year old teen again is the write-up written by the person whom i truly admire way back. No need to mention his name and i hope he won’t be able to think of something negative upon reading this if ever. Well… here it is!
