Just arrived home from Ortigas/Shaw. After having my laptop fixed at 10PM, I went to Shangri-la Shaw to get a cab easily. Unfortunately, a lot of passengers were waiting too so I decided to go to Starbucks Shang (the one at the ground floor) and occupied one vacant table. I ordered my favorite drink and started writing about my frustrations about my laptop.

A few minutes after, the guard approached me.

“Mam, labas na po muna tayo. Nasusunog yung kabilang establishment pero ‘wag po tayong mag-panic”.

iBlog6: The Philippine Blogging Summit Aftermath

For the past years, I’ve been religiously attending the iBlog summits organized by the UP College of Law and Digital Filipino. Unfortunately, I only attended the Saturday afternoon session this year. This means that I missed some of the important talks (blame me for being a sleepyhead T_T)

At least I went still 😀 I entered the UP Malcolm Hall at 1:30PM. I saw Gee and Rommel, my PBBFG mates LOL.  I was able to catch Marck Rimorim aka Marocharim talk about Political Blogging in the Philippines. He gave a very nice talk wherein he emphasized on remembering the past, stating the present, planning for the future and going back to the past in writing blog entries related to the different issues in the Philippines.

Holy Week 2010 in Dagupan City Day 3

This is the last installment of my Holy Week 2010 in Dagupan City series. Nothing much happened in the morning because I woke up at lunch time 😐 Special thanks to Star Plaza Hotel’s information desk person for calling me up and asking me if I will extend my stay or what. Do I have a choice?

Mam, mag-eextend pa po ba kayo?

After entertaining her call, I went back to sleep 😛 I woke up at around 1PM, took a bath and went online to do my usual social networking habits. I wanted to eat outside, but my cousins and friends were busy minding their own business (Mica, it’s Black Saturday T_T) I had to sacrifice. I ended up ordering something from the hotel’s restaurant and ate at my room.

Holy Week 2010 in Dagupan City Day 2

I woke up late the next morning. Being the lazy head that I am, I didn’t stand up during the wake-up call. I ended up extending my stay in the hotel though my cousin already offered that i can stay in their house. Didn’t go with Maire and her friends to Baguio just because I woke up late.

No regrets though. Sleep is a luxury for me 😛 I woke up at 11:30AM and tried to write for a special project. I went to the restaurant for my lunch and I ate Fish Fillet with Sweet and Corn Sauce.

Holy Week 2010 in Dagupan City Day 1

Last Wednesday night, I decided the last minute that I will go to Dagupan City, my hometown and spend my Holy Week break there. My grandparents went to Naga for a family reunion and my usual companions went to different provinces.

I didn’t like the idea that I’ll be stuck here in Manila alone and I felt like i needed to go outside of the Metro in order for me to be inspired to write a screenplay. After chatting with my college friends through Facebook, I decided to pack my things and ride a bus to Pangasinan.

And it was one hella ride.

PENTHOUSE – The Place I Once Called Home

Today is Easter Sunday. I bet most of my readers are sleeping as I type this entry at 3AM. I’m not yet sure if i’ll be taking the 3:30 AM bus trip to Manila or the 4AM or 5 or 6. I blame my work schedule on why I have to leave Dagupan City on a Sunday.

Guess who spent 15 years of her life living in that penthouse?

See, i had no plans of going back here in Dagupan last week. I decided five hours before I left Manila that I will be spending my Holy Week break in a nice hotel in the Bangus City. It was my dream since I was a kid that at least I try to stay here even just for one night and now it feels good that I finally fulfilled that plan of mine.

Most of my Dagupan-based friends asked me why I didn’t go to our house. Well, Lolo and Lola went to Naga for the yearly reunion of the Santamaria’s. I never had the chance to visit their new place (they moved out just this January) and yes, I don’t have a key so how can I enter in the house? 😛

Yesterday afternoon, I decided to have my very own version of Dagupan Photowalk. It was only now that I appreciate every little detail in this city through the photos I took. Now I see the old buildings which was never revamped after the 1990 earthquake, the ruins caused by the different typhoons that struck the city and all the other details that I would rather not elaborate here. Let us just say that I didn’t really explore Dagupan City that much.

Then I went back to our old house/school.

If you are thinking that I used to live inside a University campus, well, you’re right.

Just like what I revealed on my Quick Update on Maribago Beach Resort and Sumilon Island Trip post, we had the chance to have our very early Visita Iglesia on our way to Sumilon Island last March 13.

It is my first time ever to complete the seven churches and I feel so lucky and blessed because I was able to explore some of Cebu’s most beautiful churches in a very solemn manner. Add the fact that Ka Bino Guerrero, our very intelligent and funny tour guide entertained us with information and funny jokes 😛
