Random Ramblings Before I Leave for Cebu

After more than a month, my Bloggers Digest feature at QTube was finally shown. I am really happy with the outcome of the feature since they showed some of my blogs like Micamyx (Personal), Myx Technology (Tech), Pinoy Fans Club (Entertainment), Patay Gutom (Food) and of course, Missing Carlo (Personal/Autism). The main reason why I got lots of readers at my i.ph way back is because of my daily thoughts on my brother, Carlo. Now I believe that he is really my lucky gem. Seeing our photos on tv just feels good and i’m no longer emo about it. I am happy because those who were able to watch it that knows Carlo personally said that it somewhat made them cry because they miss seeing our kulitan together. Btw, he is 5’6 tall according to mom

For the third time this year, I am going to Cebu with Ada, Winston and some of the Manila bloggers who will be attending the first ever Philippine Blog Awards-Visayas. I am pretty excited about this since its a first for the Visayas bloggers and I think this is my chance for me to bond with most of them since I failed to do it the last time. I am also excited on who will win at the different categories specifically for the Reader’s Choice since most of the nominees are my friends like Byahilo, Sinjin, Kevin, Bryan Karl and McBilly. Waaaah kalokah kayo LOL. Cebu is also a special place for me since the place itself has the power to make or break my heart (go figure out what that means ) and yeah, I am craving for Pochero and Lechon! Rawr!

I AM WRITING ABOUT JEHZEEL LAURENTE A.K.A JEHZLAU AGAIN!!!!
And I don’t regret it.
I went out with him, Winston and Xef the other night to watch a movie. Before we went back to our respective homes, Jehz invited us to eat first. As expected, we ate a lot. I ended up eating two cups of rice and ate the leftovers (My appetite is kinda weird the past few days LOL). On our way home, Jehz and I were talking about the possibility of traveling once more just like what we did a few weeks ago with the rest of the Nyoks at Cebu. We also discussed about some blog projects and so on. As usual, his childish yet charming ways made me really smile. Seeing him happy makes me happy.

I went online as soon as I got home. Saw him online a few minutes after then he suddenly plurked about the email he received from a Nuffnang Philippines representative. According to the email, he is nominated for the Most Influential Blog Category. He can’t believe it but it’s true. He forwarded the said message to me and we were like little kids who kept on saying ‘waaaaaaaah’ waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah’ and more ‘waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah’ to each other.
I am not really sure on what was Nuffnang’s basis on choosing him as one of the nominees for the Most Influential Blog on their first ever awards night at Singapore, but let me share to you my own basis on why Jehz is really worth voting for and why he deserves to be the first ever Influential Blogger to be recognized by the rest of the Nuffnangers around the world.

Today, one of my bestest blogger friend is turning twenty two years old. She is pretty, smart, talented and not your ordinary girl. And yeah, she is in love with Pink.
I met Cai for the first time at the iBlog3. We instantly became good friends after knowing that we are both i.ph bloggers. We would regularly chat about our college projects and online rakets through YM since I was based in Dagupan City. When I finally transfered here in Manila to embark a career and explore the blogosphere, we became closer. I later on found out that we are both into film making and creative writing. She had done three short films already!

Goodbye, July! Hello, August!
JULY was a very busy month for me. I attended a number of blogger and non-blogger events, met up with some offline friends on different occassions, reminisced my father’s death anniversary, bonded with my grandparents, shot my second short film, attended the Cinemalaya Cinco Festival for the first time, wrote lots of work-related articles, created an outline for a new story and many, many more. I need to escape from the busy city of Manila waaah…

Today is August 1 and I am looking forward to a much busier month! I will be working on the post-production of my second film later and the first film on Sunday (baliktad! LOL). I registered a number of domains a few months back and i’m planning to post some entries as soon as i have time. I might collaborate with a friend for a new project and I am really hoping it will push through. I will be launching my travel blog anytime and yes…
I’M GOING TO CEBU!
I’m excited to go to Cebu City, the birthplace of my grandfather (though he never really spent his childhood there). Hopefully, I’ll be meeting my Cebu-based relatives and at the same time meet up with ‘online’ and ‘offline’ friends.
