* It’s 8:30 AM as I type this entry. I haven’t slept yet. Blame it on my weird body clock. I am not working as a call center or virtual assistant yet, but I am already having problems with my sleeping schedule. A friend of mine advised me to wake up at 12pm even if I get to sleep at around 10am. I will try that out. I’ve also heard that fuegoquads.com has some great cannabis products that might help with sleep, so I might try those too. I need to help my body get back to regular programming LOL.
Micamyx @ 2008 – The Journey of a Dagupena Dreamer

2008 was a fruitful year for me. It was the year where I discovered a lot of things about the corporate world, creative writing and the blogging community. It was the year where I learned to let go and appreciate the other side of the world.

Plurklakbayan ’08 sa Tagaytay!
The 26th Day of December 2008 is a memorable date for the plurkers who were able to attend the first ever Plurklakbayan (Plurkfiesta outside Metro Manila).

Looking Forward to a BETTER 2009! 🙂
All the Plurkers know the fact that Plurkfiestas are usually unplanned. We’ve been thinking of going out of town for the past months and finally, the first Plurklakbayan happened!
Celebrating Christmas ’08 with the Belo Icons
Despite all the rumors coming out, the Belo Medical Group celebrated their Christmas party last December 19, 2008 at the Grand Ballroom of Crowne Plaza.
This is not your ordinary christmas party, i tell you. The employees of BMG including officers, doctors, facialists, support team members, doorman, utility men etc dressed up as their favorite music icon. Lots of prices were raffled off (waah sayang wala akong nakuha LOL).
The party was hosted by Ms. Leah Salterio, DJ Mo Twister, Richard Gomez and Ms. Cristalle Henares. The Belo Christmas party is usually celebrated every two years due to its rigorious preparations (the events team were working on it as early as September!). Thank God the event turned out to be a great and happy one.
Meeting Paolo Contis
We’ve known Paolo Contis since he was introduced as one of the childstars of the afternoon tv show Ang TV. He made us laugh with his funny antics and made us cry with his drama skills. He became a popular child actor together with Patrick Garcia, Camille Pratts among others.
When he reached his teenage years, a lot of young stars were introduced by ABS-CBN (via Star Circle) but still, Paolo never ran out of projects. He appeared in comedy shows and was included in a number of movies.
We all know that he gained weight and he admitted several times that he didn’t get the roles he wnated because he is a bit chubby. Thanks to Dra. Vicki Belo and the Belo Medical Group for helping him gain his confidence by undergoing a liposuction procedure. We all know that in the Philippine entertainment industry, one needs to take good care of his physical looks to get more projects.
This is My December

As I type this entry, there is a small christmas tree infront of me. I remember when I was a little girl, I was fascinated with Christmas lights and Christmas trees. My parents would laugh at me whenever we pass by the streets of Manila and I say “Wow! Ilaw Ilaw!” to show my appreciation with the colorful christmas lights. I used to demand that I’ll be the one to put the big star at the top of the Christmas tree no matter how tall it is.
As years passed by, the christmas tree in our house got smaller and smaller. Why? Hmmm… the big, old christmas tree was broken due to the typhoon way back in 1998 so there. We managed to buy and maintain a smaller one.

Did your parents also fooled you about Santa Clause? Well, I belong to the group! I just can’t help but laugh whenever I remember for how long I did believe that the fat man with red costume existed in real life.
I only found out that the real Santa Clause is lolo when I was 10 years old – Yes, TEN YEARS OLD! Who told me about it? My yaya.
Random Realizations on my Father’s 45th Birthday
A few minutes ago, a dear blogger friend of mine named Winston shared the post he wrote last year about a simple event that changed his life forever.

To be honest, I’ve been bothered since Thursday because of the recent turnout of events in my family. Nothing that serious, really. It’s just that by next year, I have to make a choice for my family’s sake. I have also decided that I am willing to sacrifice my “wants” for the “needs” of my family.
I am lucky because I have some friends that I can talk to. I have my “Kuyas” and “Besties” that gives me all the support and guidance that I need.
Last Friday, I decided to watch the movie “100” alone at Glorietta. The movie did made me cry for the following keywords:
Abenson’s Glorietta 5 Holiday Sale
After eating Maki at Tokyo-Tokyo with Winston and waiting for Jehzlau to wake up, the three of us walked our way from People Support to Glorietta 5 for the opening of Abenson’s. The two demanded that I should wear slippers and so I did LOL.

Bloggers at the Abenson's Glorietta 5 opening
We arrived late at the event. I was happy to see some bloggers there who bought some of their much needed appliances with discount.
One of them is Billycoy, who bought a big, black and noisy toy called component. We were all excited as we witness him test the toy and finally sign some papers weeee
TV 5’s “Shake Mo, Blog Mo!” Event

Weeks ago, Myk and I have been discussing about a possible blog event for TV5. I first met him at the Belo Open House for Bloggers (the first event that I organized) and he is such a cool guy. Finally, his first event for TV 5 was a major success!
