Goodbye, July! Hello, August!

JULY was a very busy month for me. I attended a number of blogger and non-blogger events, met up with some offline friends on different occassions, reminisced my father’s death anniversary, bonded with my grandparents, shot my second short film, attended the Cinemalaya Cinco Festival for the first time, wrote lots of work-related articles, created an outline for a new story and many, many more. I need to escape from the busy city of Manila waaah…

Wacky Moment at Krispy Kreme with Bong and Jade - And i'm wearing a Tarbak Shirt :P

the 12th of July - Kulitan with Bong and Jade at KK. Deadline: The 12th of August waaah

Today is August 1 and I am looking forward to a much busier month! I will be working on the post-production of my second film later and the first film on Sunday (baliktad! LOL). I registered a number of domains a few months back and i’m planning to post some entries as soon as i have time. I might collaborate with a friend for a new project and I am really hoping it will push through. I will be launching my travel blog anytime and yes…

I’M GOING TO CEBU!

I’m excited to go to Cebu City, the birthplace of my grandfather (though he never really spent his childhood there). Hopefully, I’ll be meeting my Cebu-based relatives and at the same time meet up with ‘online’ and ‘offline’ friends. Keywords on my mind: Edge Coaster, Bantayan, Carcar, Talisay, IAFT, Danggit,Chicharon and LECHON!

Random Whispers of a Good Friend

* I wasn’t able to sleep well last night because I recorded a song with The Singing Blogger. How? Well, I recorded my voice first and sent the audio file to him. After an hour of editing, we were able to produce our own rendition of Careless Whisper. The idea of having a duet started when I voted for his blog as one of the emerging influential blogs of 2009. We have a number of songs in mind for our duet, but we decided to record the George Micheal/Tamia hit since a blogger sent the instrumental version to him. Nice! 😀

* My grandfather called me up this morning informing me about our hotel booking for Boracay. He was a bit worried and was indirectly blaming me for something. In short, FAIL. I need to look for a good hotel as soon as possible or else i’m dead 😐

Eh Eh (There’s Nothing Else I Can Say)

Lady Gaga Eh Eh

I am going gaga over Lady Gaga‘s songs like Poker Face and Just Dance. Last week, i took a quiz at Facebook called “Which Lady Gaga song are you?” and my result is: Eh Eh (There’s nothing else i can say). I found the song at Youtube and I’m playing and groovin’ to it as i type this entry.

Here are some headlines that can make me  say Eh Eh this week (go figure out if its a good or bad eh-eh LOL)

Random Thoughts While Eating Donuts

Guess where I am as I type this entry? LOL

Burp

…. I panicked last night. I was updating the right sidebar of my blog when suddenly all the widgets disappeared. The bad thing there is I can’t even access my dashboard! Thank God Jehzlau fixed the problem (though he kept on insisting that he didn’t even touch it LOL). I later found out that the code I entered is not compatible with Linux. Errr.. I never thought the code can cause such trouble. 0_o

…. I’ve been wanting to travel around the country. I won some tickets for Palawan from SEAIR last year and I am thinking of using it sometime in June for Boracay with my grannies and some of my high school buddies. Why all of a sudden I’m going to Boracay and not Palawan? Well, the representative from SEAIR told me that they’re no longer accommodating flights for Busuanga. So there. I am excited and I even made a simple itinerary for the trip.

…. April 11 is my brother’s 14th birthday and it’s black saturday. We usually go to Jollibee for his birthday when he was still here in the Philippines with me. How will I spend that day? Hmmmm… Make me happy please 😀

…. A good friend of mine booked a trip to Cebu for me yesterday! We’re planning to go there by August.

We’ll be staying there for four days and I am eager to meet some of my relatives there.

Random Random Random

  • The past week was pretty hectic yet fun. I finally landed a semi-full time job somewhere at United Nations. Why semi-full time? I am only required to be seen visibly at the office three times a week and I can do the rest of the tasks at home. I have to admit that my body needs to adjust with the schedule, but I’m really ok with it. New ideas, new tasks, new environment means more learning and more fun!
  • I read a number of comments from different bloggers who are eager to see Kuya Bunso, the first ever blogger film written, produced and directed by yours truly. I am also excited as much as everyone is, but errr.. we haven’t transferred the tapes yet LOL. Sorry na 😀
  • I attended two blogger events for a cause – the first one has something to do with our environment and the other one has something to do with cervical cancer. I am glad that companies and organizations are now tapping bloggers in raising awareness on certain issues like what I mentioned. Blog entries will be posted anytime this week.
  • Top bloggers Coy Caballes, Fritz Tentativa and Winston Almendras made us proud with their talk at the Mensa Day last Sunday at Fully Booked. The three good-looking and talented guys deserve a round of applause and standing ovation (parang Rihanna song lang LOL). I will post a blog entry and some videos soon.
  • I’ll be going back home to Dagupan City on Thursday and I might attend the SEO/SEM Workshop at Urdaneta City University on Friday. This is my chance to meet some of my kababayans who are actually doing well on this field. I am also eager to hear Ms. Janette Toral and Mr. Gary Viray talk in Pangasinan. It’s my first time in four months to go back home.
  • I’ve been having some emo moments lately which usually lasts for 30 minutes. Is that weird? I think not. The phone call with my mom the last time made me burst into tears at a public place, but I laughed out loud after hearing Carlo sing a Christmas song at the background. EMO MOMENT FAIL!

Make Her Happy on Valentines Day

Richard and KC

I am listening to Emma Bunton’s Free Me album as I type this entry. This morning, I received a text message from a male friend asking for some cool ideas on how to spend the 14th day of February a.k.a Valentines day with his girlfriend of three months. He wants to show extra sweetness and effort on this special day. I’ve been his love adviser for the past three years and he never failed to please his girlfriends (errr… yes, girlfriends! LOL).

Since he is bugging me over this thing, I decided to make a blog entry out of it. Here are some of my suggestions on how to make your special girl happy on the 14th:

10 Random Questions

Been sitting here for more than two hours yet I can’t decide on which topic I should blog about.

I’ll ask 20 Random Questions instead and I am hoping you’d answer them 😀

1. Don’t you just miss being a child again? Way back, we were required by our parents to play and have fun and . Today, we are obliged to face our responsibilities. No time for play, limited time for fun.

2. Should I wear glasses? I bought one two years ago but lost it after two weeks of purchase. I am having headaches from time to time for the past weeks already. Arg. Noooo. I dun wanna wear one :'(

3. Is coffee really bad for our health? I’ve been addicted to coffee since I was in third year college. Some of my college friends call me “Mocha” because of that addiction. Some of my close blogger friends know that I will order either hot or cold mocha everytime we visit UCC, Starbucks, Figaro, Gloria Jeans and Krispy Kreme.

Bulleted List of Random Thoughts at 8:30 AM

* It’s 8:30 AM as I type this entry. I haven’t slept yet. Blame it on my weird body clock. I am not working as a call center or virtual assistant yet, but I am already having problems with my sleeping schedule. A friend of mine advised me to wake up at 12pm even if I get to sleep at around 10am. I will try that out. I’ve also heard that fuegoquads.com has some great cannabis products that might help with sleep, so I might try those too. I need to help my body get back to regular programming LOL.

This is My December

December is the month when Jesus Christ was born. December is the month where students get their much needed break from school. December is the month of the year where are lot of people give and receive gifts and praises. December is the month where blah blah eklavu chenes chenes 😀

*******

As I type this entry, there is a small christmas tree infront of me. I remember when I was a little girl, I was fascinated with Christmas lights and Christmas trees. My parents would laugh at me whenever we pass by the streets of Manila and I say “Wow! Ilaw Ilaw!” to show my appreciation with the colorful christmas lights. I used to demand that I’ll be the one to put the big star at the top of the Christmas tree no matter how tall it is.

As years passed by, the christmas tree in our house got smaller and smaller. Why? Hmmm… the big, old christmas tree was broken due to the typhoon way back in 1998 so there. We managed to buy and maintain a smaller one.

*******

Did your parents also fooled you about Santa Clause? Well, I belong to the group! I just can’t help but laugh whenever I remember for how long I did believe that the fat man with red costume existed in real life.

I only found out that the real Santa Clause is lolo when I was 10 years old – Yes, TEN YEARS OLD! Who told me about it? My yaya.

Random Adventures Before November Ends

The last week of November 2008 is memorable for me for a number of reasons. I had a number of ups and downs. The important thing there is I learned a number of lessons:

Sunday – It was a very memorable Sunday. I was alone in the house the whole day and I didn’t even bother going out. Why? I had to save money. I bought Century Tuna’s Bangus in-a-can and ate it for lunch and dinner. My Sundays are usually spent outside the house, but not this time. I ended up watching random shows on TV.

Monday – It was a Monday. I decided to write my daily expenses and it was only now that I realized that I am spending almost 150 a day for me to survive in the City of Makati. And I have 250 in my wallet.

Tuesday –  I received two coupons from my Secret Santa. The first coupon didn’t mention any freebie, but since I only have Php 60 in my wallet, I assumed that I’ll be getting a pasta. The second one is cookies. Since Winston received the same e-coupon, we decided to meet up for dinner. Both of us were really hungry and yep, we don’t have enough money to survive in the big city LOLZ so we went there HOPING we’d eat Pasta for dinner.
