My SMART LTE Testing Experience in Boracay

When I stayed in England for three months, I can say that I was pampered with fast internet connection. It is the main reason why my homesickness was cured. Most of my Filipino friends were able to watch their favorite teleseryes online and they usually have this habit of doing live video streamings or webcam sessions with relatives and loved ones. Last Saturday, I was invited to participate at the SMART LTE Testing in Boracay together with bloggers Fritz, Nina and Winston. I am a subscriber of Smart for more than five years and being one of the first one to try this new fourth-generation (4G) network. Some blogger friends of mine were able to attend in the first and second leg of the SMART LTE testing and all of them were claiming that it is the fastest internet connection they ever experienced in the Philippines. Hmmm… time for me to test and see. ‘Acoustic Princess’ By Princess Velasco (with Music Videos)

Princess Velasco is dubbed as the ‘Acoustic Princess‘ in the Philippine Music Scene. It was just less than two years ago when I blogged about me attending Princess Velasco’s mall tour at SM Megamall for her first album ‘Addicted to Acoustic’. Just a few months after, she released her Addicted to Acoustic 2 . Now, she’s out with her third one!

Last Saturday, i attended the second Cebu Blog Camp. I flew all the way from Manila to Cebu not because I have a significant role to the event, but because Cebu is a really special place for me. I quite expected to see familiar faces in the yearly event and i’m glad i pushed through with the trip.

We arrived a bit late at the venue because Robbie and I had to finish some freelance work tasks. I saw Yoshke Dimen, a blogger friend of mine whom I only see in person when we’re not in Manila (Singapore and Cebu LOL). We were able to compare notes about Christina Aguilera’s Bionic songs, but that is another story.

See You at the Cebu Blog Camp 2011!

I’m going to Cebu for the 9th time this weekend to attend this year’s Cebu Blog Camp! Now on its second year, a number of Cebu-based bloggers united to organize Cebu’s biggest blog event. Last year, I was chosen to talk about the Basics of Blogging (Blogging 101) and I really had fun during my talk. Although I don’t have any significant participation for this year’s leg, I still booked a flight to Cebu for the weekend because of the following reasons:

1. I Love Cebu! – This upcoming trip is my 9th time in the Queen City of the South, but I just can’t help but go back. The last time I went there was last August 2010 and stayed there for two days just to hangout with friends, meet up with a relative and just chill like a dude (I’m playing Jessie J’s ‘Do It Like a Dude’ now. I’m sorry haha). Originally, i planned to relocate to Cebu after my UK Trip. Almost everything a Manilenyo wants in a city is already there -only with less traffic and cheaper cost of living. Attending the Cebu Blog Camp is a perfect excuse to book a flight to Cebu and enjoy a whole day of learning.

My Top 5 Favorite Jennifer Lopez Dance Music Videos

When Jennifer Lopez released the song ‘On The Floor’ a couple of months ago, I was really happy. The versatile superstar is one of my influences when it comes to performing. Her dance hit ‘Waiting for Tonight’ helped me out recover from a surgery when I was 12 years old (dancing two days after the operation hehe) and due to the balanced mix of her songs, I learned to appreciate the different types of dance. Her debut album ‘On the 6’ is one of the best music albums ever (for me, at least.)

FYI, she started out as a dancer for the TV show ‘The Living Color’ and she also appeared in the music video of Janet Jackson for the song ‘That’s The Way Love Goes’. Thanks to her role as Selena at the late-singer’s biopic, Jennifer’s talent was recognized until she emerged as one of Hollywood’s hottest leading lady and she invaded the music scene too!

Being Sick on your 24th Birthday

BDAY BACKLOG: So, I finally turned 24 last May 6. It was a Friday and compared to my previous birthday celebrations, i opted to have a simple one this year. Why? Because i am sick and lazy. Having cough, colds and mild headache on your supposedly special day will truly make you feel lazy. Prior to that, i’ve been unproductive online and offline. I’m glad that i am blogging now LOL.

I may be sick, but my appetite is still ok 😛

So what did I do on my 24th birthday? I woke up at 2pm, checked my online accounts to reply on some Facebook, Plurk, Twitter and E-mail greetings. I received a number of text messages too and missed calls. I’m glad that my family and friends took extra effort to greet me on my 24th birthday. Thank you again 🙂

I’m turning twenty four tomorrow! Yikes. I am turning twenty four. One year to go and i’m about to say hello to my silver year on planet earth. I am thankful i’m still alive and kicking!

Bloggers Fest 2011 @ Thunderbird Resorts Rizal

For the very first time, I stepped in together with 200+ bloggers in Thunderbird Resorts in Binangonan, Rizal. Last year, I was able to stay for three days and three nights at Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point in San Fernando, La Union. I enjoyed my stay in the Santorini-like resort that’s why when Azrael asked me if i can be a speaker to the Bloggers Fest 2011 event, i immediately said yes! 😛

My topic for the Bloggers Fest 2011 is ‘Sharing Your Story Through Personal Blogging‘. It is a topic that I am comfortable with and to be honest, I created the slide a few hours before going to the bus pick-up point in Makati. I decided to keep it short and straightforward.

With me to the venue is my high school bestfriend Maire, whom i am pushing to be an active blogger since she writes well and she also takes good pictures. Sayang naman ang talent kung hindi mae-expose! 😛 I saw familiar faces in the pick-up point, but wow, there are so many newbies! It is a good sign for the Philippine Blogosphere.
