While I fixed some of my things earlier, I realized that I have a number of trips to look forward to. It’s quite funny since I made a promise to myself last April that I will try not to book more flights since I need to save up for my trip to somewhere close to my family. I am here right now in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia with Winston and Xef. It’s our third and last night here and I really had a blast. I can say though that I still prefer the island hopping tours in Palawan and Boracay. The whole feel of Kota Kinabalu reminds me much of Puerto Princesa. The people here are nice too. I noticed that there’s a lot of westerners here and it’s nice to actually see them roam around and explore.

By next week, I will be in General Santos originally for the Tuna Festival. Unfortunately, the organizers of the said festival moved it to another date. We booked out tickets as early as June, but I am not really complaining. I am more interested with the tour and the fact that I will be reunited with some of my Davao, CDO and Gen San-based friends It will be my first time in Manny Pacquiao’s place, so this better be a champion weekend!

A week after that, I will be spotted with seven other bloggers in Boracay. Thanks to SEAIR and MICROTEL for choosing me as one of the bloggers who will enjoy a Boracay vacation!   It will be my third time there and I am really hoping that I’d be able to do more things there. I seriously want to trek, to try parasailing and yep… Party! I am also looking forward to meeting and getting to know my co-bloggers.

The next  in line will be for a Camiguin Trip with high school friends Maire, Kenjo and Ruby. It will be the first time of the four of us to bond after high school I bet it will be a memorable one. Going to a different place with the people who really knew who you are way, way back is something to really look forward to

I might also go to Binalonan and Dagupan City by October to visit some of my relatives and at the same time, to attend an important event. I’m not quite sure about it though since I am also in-charge with my grandparents’  50th Wedding Anniversary

I’ll be in Davao City for the third time by the end of October. I am hoping to see PAGASA this time. Let me see that historical giant bird I saw at my Sibika at Kultura text book! (bebs, please bring me there! )

I have no definite plans for November yet, but I booked a ticket to Iloilo for the Visayas Blogger’s Summit. I didn’t book a return ticket LOL pero bahala na.

And December. I am saving up for December. I am saving up for my most expensive yet most special trip ever - I’m going to England.

Form Six Words and Express Yourself

Instead of feeling sorry for myself and declare it as an ‘unproductive’ night, I decided to edit some of the videos I took for my Project52Weeks. I admit that I have tons of  backlogs but I am slowly (but surely) working on it. I was able to edit four – One is a videoke presentation with my Cebu friends (Isang Lahi FTW!), One is a Survivor-like video with Ada and Jenny during our first trip to Puerto Princesa (nananaginip lang ba tayo?!), One is an interview with the one and only Gabe Mercado where I asked him about his video blog, his showbiz commitments and the late-rockeoke (huhu) and I also have a short film which is quite serious compared to the rest of the videos I previously presented to my audience.

I’ve been wanting to shoot this ‘Scrabble’ concept since I started with the project. The problem is I don’t have my own scrabble set and I have no willing partner for this one. Luckily, when I went to Be Resorts in Mactan, Cebu three weeks ago, I saw this Scrabble set in the Be Active room and asked if I can borrow it. Bryan Karl, a very good and obedient friend of mine agreed to act on this one so there

The ‘Scrabble’ concept is taken from one of the scripts I wrote in college. It was originally for a love-themed screenplay which has something to do with trust vs. betrayal, love vs. hate and physical vs emotional abuse.

Ok, that screenplay is a dark one. But this part is different.

This short film contains zero dialogues, but with six important words. We have to keep in mind though that in everything we do, WORDS are NOT enough. WORDS are NEVER enough. If you want something to work they way you want it, you better act on it.

It’s like this: You want to achieve your dream of becoming an actress? Don’t just sit there and hope that a talent scout will get you. Audition, attend in go-sees or undergo workshops. Eventually, you will make it. You’re not happy with your current relationship? Don’t just rant there and curse your partner at the back. Tell it straight to his/her face or initiate a calm yet serious talk. Losing hope on something? You can pray, but you also need to help yourself.

After editing the videos, I saw the news report about the Bus Hostage that happened earlier. I’d rather not blog my thoughts about the whole thing. I am saddened with the fact that we are trending in Google and Twitter, but these are just WORDS. WORDS not enough to bring our nation down. Instead of ranting too much or getting affected with what other people are saying, let us just do our duties as Filipinos. ACT in a good way.

Going back to Boracay... Hopefully, this year!

My first SEAIR experience is a memorable one. It was my first time to ride again in a plane after 15 years and seeing my grandparents happy before we reached Caticlan airport is priceless. The whole trip was fast too! I remember Maire taking lots of pictures because it is her first airplane experience.

Who said that having fun in Boracay with your grannies  is not possible? Here’s a proof that you can make your grandparents happy once you bring them to Boracay! The two of them looked really good together especially when they were seated in fromt of the beach while sipping their favorite drink. They loved the sand and the complete feel of Boracay. It was my advanced 49th wedding anniversary gift for them.

My friend Maire was happy too! We were able to explore the three stations by walking and yes, our very first ’sunburn kung sunburn’ experience T_T Since we were newbies there, we tried island hopping in the morning. I tried snorkeling and reef walking for the first time too. We stayed in a budget hotel somewhere in Station 2.

Then came September. I went there with friends Winston and Xef. We went there for a much-deserved weekend break (I remember we were really stressed with work prior to our flight). We tried island hopping and we kept on eating We loved the sand and we actually miss it. Kung pwede lang mag-uwi eh LOL. We took lots of pictures and I really felt like I am a real senyorita that time It was Winston and Xef’s first SEAIR flight then.

To be honest, SEAIR is the best choice if you want to fly to Boracay. Why? The Caticlan airport is nearer to the stop and there’s shuttle too. Less hassle

I told myself that I want to go back to Boracay again this year. I feel like I haven’t really explored much yet and that there’s more wonderful stuff to discover. I want to gallivant and have a break from work and blogging duties!

SEAIR and Microtel Boracay, grant my wish please!

Now let’s go to my Microtel dream. Two years ago, a number of bloggers went to Microtel Boracay and since I was a bit ‘closed-minded’ when it comes to traveling back then, i secretly wish that one day, i’d be able to go to Boracay and stay there too. The photos and testimonies by the travel bloggers were impressive and i want to experience what they blogged about before. I think staying in a a much better hotel/resort in Boracay will somewhat make you feel like a princess even just for a day, right?

I went to Microtel Baguio last June and I was lucky enough to explore Microtel Puerto Princesa in July. Of course, a wonderful stay in Microtel Boracay would be fun!

My first Boracay Trip is mainly for my Lolo and Lola. The second one was spent with friends. I will dedicate third one is solely for myself  (and I will surely like it LOL   ) I want to explore further and be pampered at the same time in the wonderful island of Boracay! Come on, make me feel like a real Senyorita

I want another Boracay adventure!

Just in case I get in (just in case… don’t assume, Mica), It will be a perfect opportunity to bond with seven more travel bloggers. Meeting new people in a very beautiful place will surely result in a worth-remembering adventure!

Last Saturday, Ada and I went to Greenhills after our shoot for Tek Tok TV. We found out that Hannah’s scheduled to host a seminar somewhere in Promenade Mall and since we have nothing to do, we decided to take a sneak peak at the event.

Keep that in mind, dear parents!

We saw Carlo Ople talking in front while Sir Sonny invited us to join. I then found out that it is a Cyber Safety Campaign for Parents seminar. Obviously, we didn’t really have plans of staying since it is a seminar designed for parents. Carlo’s talk somewhat caught my attention because he was speaking about online gaming addiction when we came in. We decided to stay

The next speaker that day is Sir Sonny, who then discussed about keeping your kids safe from possible harm that can be seen online. He narrated how he gained his son’s trust and vice versa. He also emphasized on the importance of building that ‘offline’ connection with your kids. Spending time with them and being a role model to them is the most effective way of teaching a little kid. It somewhat reminded me on how I was brought up by my parents.

When I was in elementary, I am frequently seen in the library reading books and I kept on borrowing them just for the sake of having my library card filled out LOL. These days, kids rely on the internet for their research and assignments. Everything works in an instant and technology is the one to thank (or to blame?) because we can now access information in just a snap.

All throughout the talk, I was quiet at my seat. I remember Ada asking me from time to time ‘Huy, anong iniisip mo?’, ‘Oi badet bakit tahimik ka?’ ‘Inaantok ka na ‘noh?’ – Ang Kulit eh haha but well.. what was i really thinking while at my seat?

See, I am already 23 years old. In fact, I am already in the marrying age. I have a stable job and yes, i can produce a baby now LOL. A cousin of mine gave birth last Sunday and we’re at the same age so yeah, basically i am now capable of making babies. Plenty of babies!

But errr… I dunno. Am I ready to really have one? Financially, I can say I am now capable of supporting a little kid’s needs with the help of the father. Physically, I also am (with a sexy yet healthy body like mine LOL!) but Emotionally, I don’t think I am. Mentally too.

Then I thought of these scenarios:

SCENARIO # 1 AIR FARE SALE!!!!! Travel to blah-blah destination for as low as Php1 All-in!

Mica the Single Lady : Tara na let’s go! Let’s book 100 destinations then let’s share for the hotel accommodations and the food! Let’s go to this place and that place! Let’s but more stuff! Pasalubong! Yeah! Libot-libot galore!

Mica the Mommy: Pass for now. I need to save up for my son/daughter’s needs. I need to pay for his/her tuition fee, the new books, school supplies, the uniform and the nanny. I need to bring and fetch him/her to school everyday! I need to cook dinner too because the in-laws are coming. Pass Pass Pass!

SCENARIO # 2 : DINNER WITH BLOGGER FRIENDS

Mica the Single Lady: Hey, let’s try this new place! Let’s go to Tagaytay by midnight and eat Bulalo! Let’s go to Krispy Kreme/Starbucks/CBTL after dinner! I want Cebu Lechon and Dried Mangoes. Let’s go to Cebu! I miss Mam Bebs’ Pansit Luglug and yes, I want Durian! Let’s go back to Davao! Bring me anywhere as long as there is food!

Mica the Mommy: Eating outside is expensive! Be practical! I’ll cook a meal for all of us in time for dinner. You can stay in the house as long as you all leave by 11PM. Hubby needs to sleep and of course, my little chikitings needs to wake up early for school! I’ll prepare baon pa for them.

SCENARIO # 3: STAYING ONLINE 24/7

Mica the Single Lady: Twitter! Plurk! Tumblr! Facebook! Flickr! Wordpress! Blogger! Skype! YM! Gtalk! Yeah! Bring It On!

Mica the Mommy: Oh noes! I have to shut my computer down because the baby’s crying. The computer usage also eats up too much electricity resulting to an uninspiring Meralco bill!

SCENARIO # 4: The Zorbing, The Zipline, The Bungee Jumping!

Mica the Mommy: I will never risk my life for such dangerous activity. My husband and my children needs me more. I am contented watching my friend’s videos and just imagine that I am the one doing that adventure (huhuhu)

SCENARIO # 5: Dress, Shoes, Bags and Kikay Stuff

Mica the Single Lady: Payday Friday! Adsense Payout! Come on and let’s shop ’till we drop!

Mica the Mommy: Yehey! Just in time for the grocery, my children’s clothes, shoes, school bags and milk!

Am I imagining too much? The answer is yes, but I am being realistic. Entering parenthood is not an easy thing to do. I somewhat learned from my very own observation on how my Mom and Dad tried their best to be a good parent to a little girl (that turned out to be me LOL). My mom was also 23 years old when she had me. My dad’s a year younger. Although they were not really financially ready that time, I know that they tried their very best to give me my needs. I may not live in a mansion-like house. I don’t even have much money in my wallet as a student. I didn’t study elementary, high school and college in an expensive school in Manila, but I learned from them in terms of Experience on how to deal with life.

As an elementary student, my parents didn’t give me everything I wished for. Even my grandparents didn’t shower me with too much presents. I had to work hard if i really want something. It was the time wherein I did really concentrate on my studies. I am one of those students who can’t sleep before card day. I was competitive in Elementary, but I got tired of it. I ended up concentrating on my extra-curricular activities (dancing, singing etc.), but they just let me do what I want. In fact, they’re always present whenever i am competing in school LOL. I didn’t hide anything from them and our communication lines were open. I am not secretive when it comes to heart matters or even problems related to friends and school. That is the reason on why I am close to them. They made me feel so secured and I shouldn’t be afraid of telling them how I feel about things. I am lucky.

I want to be a good parent. I want to be a good wife. If I have a choice, I’d like to talk to my future husband and tell him how I was brought up by my family and ask him his story then as we go on, we should plan on how we’ll teach our kids grow as good individuals. Thinking about parenthood makes me raise more questions everytime I find an answer to one. What if by paying too much attention to your kid results to having your kids spoiled? Waaaah T_T

I am an observant and I really want my future family to be physically, emotionally, mentally and financially stable. Of course, I’d still blog about it

Bakit si Yaya lagay ng lagay ng sticker ng SO-EN sa kabinet niya?

Bakit iba yung binabasang pocketbook ni Lolo kaysa kay Yaya?

‘Totoo bang ni-rape ni Tito Miguel (Rodriguez) si Vilma Santos sa TV?’,

‘Bakit ‘nung pinatay si Philip Salvador sa TV, nabuhay pa rin siya pero si Tito Vincent hindi na nabuhay sa Hyatt?’.

Papa, bakit itim si Michael Jackson sa moomoo video pero puti na siya sa poster kasama si Richie Rich?

Mama, bakit ako pinagalitan ni Papa nung kinanta ko ‘yung Papa Don’t Preach?

Hahaha. I’m such a curious kid, eh? Now my future children can look up for the answers online (not unless if they’re redirected to a SEO blog LOL).

How will my kids react just in case they see my adventures in my blogs? How will they react if they read this specific blog entry? The thought makes me giggle hihi. I wonder how i’d react if I see this one again soon
