Way Back to my Hometown

My trip to Dagupan City the other weekend is quite productive even if I only spent four days there. Now I appreciate the importance of going back to your hometown and revisiting some of the important people who you were with while growing up. I went back to Binalonan, my mother’s hometown after three years of not visiting my relatives there. I am not proud of my sort of negligence of visiting them, but I think they do understand.

A lot of things have changed: Some of my cousins are now devoted parents to their kids and our ancestral house has a sari-sari store installed on it. I bought a lot of junk foods that cost around one peso per pack. I spent Php15 all in all =P It is also nice to visit and appreciate the simple and relaxed provincial life in the Philippines.

It is also nice to exchange views with my older female cousins. We were there just updating about what happened to our lives in the past three years. They asked me about my former job at a controversial medical clinic, the Pinoy celebrities I met, my Pinoy Parazzi articles (they bought some copies yehey!) and about my non-existing lovelife. I am already twenty four and people are expecting me to settle down. Settle Down? Not now, I guess. With whom? That is yet to be revealed soon.

Information Overload and Procrastination

The end of August is fast approaching yet I only managed to blog once. This is not my normal blogging cycle here at my personal blog. I usually see to it that I blog at least once a week. It’s not that I am living a very boring life now. I attended a number of awesome events, went back to my hometown and bonded with my relatives from both sides, learned more about business from one of the best food franchise companies in the country who happens to be a family friend and a number of funny encounters are worth sharing. So why not update?

Tuloy-Tuloy ang daloy ng impormasyon. Kaloka lang.

I dunno. I guess I am just overwhelmed with Too Much Information. Do I blame technology for this? Partly. I also notice that now, I am quite impatient talking to a friend or a relative via phone or Skype. I seldom chat with people on my IM but I used to really enjoy it a lot. I can even chat with ten people from different IM softwares and still grasp whatever we’re discussing no matter how these points are different from one another.

Dolphins — A Tablas Island Attraction

Dolphins are fascinating creatures. They’re mammals in fish form. If you’ve watched movies like Flipper, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, The Incredible Mr. Limpet, among other Hollywood films that feature the beloved dolphin, you’ve probably developed a delight and fascination for these marine mammals by now. Dolphins are intelligent, playful, they love being around and interacting with humans, and they also look adorable.

Thus, whenever dolphins are sighted, kids and adults alike are always delighted by their presence. Dolphins always bring a certain feeling of happiness, and their playfulness is always contagious.

If you want to see dolphins up close, you may find that you’d need to visit a ocean theme park. But if you want to see one, even a pack of them, in the wild, you may find that you can bump into them in most waters of the Philippines.

Sneak Preview of ‘My Neighbor’s Wife’ Pool Scenes in Subic

I am a Filipino movie fan whether that is mainstream or indie. It is the reason why I grabbed the opportunity when I was invited to come to the shooting of the upcoming sexy-drama film ‘My Neighbor’s Wife‘ yesterday in Subic. I mean, why not? Dennis Trillo, Jake Cuenca, Carla Abellana and Lovi Poe are four good reasons to say yes! :P

Together with the promo staff of the said movie and other friends from the online media, we all went to Kamana Sanctuary Resorts and Spa in Subic, Zambales. When we arrived, the cast just finished shooting some water adventure scenes (Jetski etc.). Some of the cast members were already eating their lunch while the rest granted interview requests.

Despite the unpredictable weather, the taping pushed through. I’m lucky because I was given the chance to interview all four and I took a lot of photos too!
