The Rizal Park 2010 Realization

‘When was the last time you went to Luneta Park?’ i asked myself moments before Bryan Karl, Jerome and I headed to the National Park of the Philippines after our Ocean Park trip. I can’t really remember the exact date, but i think it is sometime in 1995 or 1996. I insisted of going there because i saw it at our Sibika at Kultura textbook. As a fan of Jose Rizal’s greatness, the Little Mica got what she requested.

Saan na tayo tutungo n'yan?

During our short trip to Luneta Park at the first weekend of October 2010, my mind was a bit messed up. I wasn’t even sure if we were already in Luneta not until I saw Dr. Jose Rizal’s statue, where the guards are standing there with pokerface. Too bad we weren’t allowed to take a closer picture with them. We’ll cause too much distraction, i bet.

A Reunion Story

The major reason on why i decided to embark on a trip to the United Kingdom is mainly for my family. I think everybody knows that now since i’ve been telling that in some of my blog posts and social media accounts. Of course, the #1 reason would be my brother, Carlo.

We're going to Greenhills and dine at Jollibee (2007)

Some people might find it ‘korny’ when i tell them that i really miss my brother so much. You see, he is now fifteen years old and i am already twenty three years old. Usually, siblings of our age are not the affectionate type. In the normal setting, siblings with such age gaps are not that close at all. Most probably the eldest will be a bit reluctant to kiss her younger brother in public. Maybe hugging is already a big no-no.

Random Thoughts While Blogging in Wales

I’ve been staying in the United Kingdom for 10 days already. I am currently blogging from our hotel room somewhere in Castle Street in Cardiff, Wales. I am here with my mom preparing for an important matter that we need to fix here.

Commuting in London via Bus

My trip here in the United Kingdom is not mainly for leisure. To be honest with you, I’d rather tour around Asia and South America than gallivant over Europe. The main reason why i am here is a bit more personal – it is for my family.

Those who have been reading my LJ and i.ph blog between 2004-2008 have an idea that i am more of a family person especially when my brother was still living with me. We were together all the time. In fact, i even made a blog about him when he left the country last 2008 to be with mom. It was painful of course, but i know that the changes within the family is for the better. I opted to stay in the Philippines for me to determine what i really want to do with my life because seriously, i have a lot of ambitions when it comes to having a career. I want to be a good marketing person (hello, BMG!), i want to be a better blogger (i think i accomplished a lot in this division), i want to make films (three shorts films? not bad, right? :P ), i want to write more about celebrities no matter if it is positive or errr… entertaining (hello, kaparazzi!). I’ve accomplished almost all of it except having a lovelife of my own haha :D

Travel and Reunion Jitters

While most Filipino bloggers are already preparing for the 2010 Philippine Blog Awards this coming Sunday, i am now busy doing last minute errands for my longest travel trip to date. I’m going to UK!

Carlo and Mama via Skype

It sounds fantastic, right? But hey, it was not an easy one. Completing my requirements for the visa application really made me emotionally stressed last month. I am used to doing things on my own, but this one is quite a hella ride. The anxiety even caused some irregularities to my menstrual cycle LOL. I am not really sure on how the other countries do process and decide whether to approve or deny a certain applicant, but you need to wait a few days in UK. Maga-grant ba ‘yung visa o hindi? Paano kung hindi? Waaah!

Pangasinan Bloggers’ Tour Day 3 – The Puerto del Sol Bolinao Experience

The highlight of our Pangasinan Trip is the last destination – Bolinao.

During the 80′s and 90′s, Bolinao was famous due to its scenic beaches and the Bolinao Lighthouse, which i believe is the second tallest lighthouse in the Philippines. Pinoy movie producers used to shoot some scenes there. Just a few years ago, the last Richard Gutierrez – Angel Locsin movie The Promise was shot there. It is also one of the locations of Marian Rivera’s Dyesebel.

It was a sunny morning when we woke up from our relaxing sleep at Islandia Hotel ( I slept for 9 hours!). We packed our things in an instant in order to catch the early trip to Bolinao.
