Belo Bloggers Barkada Videoke Night @ Centerstage

Everyone had a stressful workload last week. It is pretty obvious in the plurks of many plurkers that beating a boss or client’s deadline or the submission of projects in school can kill anybody’s social life.

Last Tuesday night (October 21, 2008), Doc Hayden invited a number of bloggers and Multiply friends for a simple get together in Centerstage Family KTV & Resto Bar at Jupiter, Makati. It was the second time of the Marketing team to go there (first time entry via pataygutom) and we fell in love the place! They have an updated list of songs, good ambiance and delicious food. Centerstage is partly owned by Kapuso star Karylle and the current male Beloshape endorser Dingdong Dantes.

Digital Filipino Club and Filipino Bloggers Manila Networking Event

Straight from work, I headed to Starbucks 6750 to meet up with the Digital Filipino members and the rest of the bloggers who signed up for the event. I saw Miss Janette Toral (who looks oh-so-pretty), Ederic (who plans to get a Belo treatment soon), Ed (who can’t blog in his main blog and blames his webhost), Billycoy (who wore a red shirt and green shoes) and the rest. After a few minutes, the shuttle service bus of PAGCOR arrived.

While on the bus, I watched the episode of Wish Ko Lang featuring a highschool student who received a mountain bike, two young stunt kids and their mentors receiving new things for their gym and the death of Nasty Mac, the guest rapper in Salbakutah’s S2pid luv. My realizations? 1.) I don’t know how to drive a bike without the support thing 2.) When I was a little kid, I wanted to be a part of the Power Rangers and 3.) Memorize ko pa rin yung Stupid Love LOL.

ANYWAY….

After 40 minutes, we finally arrived in PAGCOR. Green light were all over the place and it was pretty obvious that everyone is excited as i do. Much to my dismay, they didn’t allow us to bring our cameras with us huhu.

When we managed to get our own table and sit on the seats (hindi sa floor hehe), I met Kuya Gary Viray, who is my kababayan. He is working for PAGCOR and he is also doing some SEO stuff. He may not be proud of his blog, but I’m proud of my blog! wahaha (ok wala na ako masabi haha).

Then I saw Ada, who currently needs for your vote for the Clear Video contest (vote for her!), Tita Dine, my cyber mom and mentor, Marcelle, who invited everyone to watch the MAGIKEL show this November with Giselle Sanches, AJ, the hottest gay blogger in the Philippines, Azrael, who managed to do some livestreaming in the event, Annalyn Jusay, who is pretty in green last night,  Carl, who took lotsa pics and gave me two passes for the RTW show of the Philippine Fashion Week (yebbah!), Maki, my friend who drove from north to south (wut?! LOL), and more and more guests came in.

We ate dinner, introduced ourselves and our blogs, played games and toured around PAGCOR.

During the “introduce – yourself – and – your – blog – part”, I promoted my blog and revealed that the Belo Medical Group has a corporate blog up and that we have ongoing promos for the holiday season.

Philippine Fashion Week – 25 Years of Frederick Peralta

Frederick Peralta – One of the biggest names in the Philippine Fashion Industry. He is one of the most favorite fashion designer by the sophisticated ones and the socialites.

To be honest, I am not really into fashion. I am not updated on the latest trends and stuff, but I saw a number of Frederick Peralta’s creations in magazines such as Metro, Preview etc.

I am lucky because I was given the chance to watch the Premiere of the Philippine Fashion Week featuring the works of Frederick Peralta – sexy and sophisticated ladies, dashing gentlemen and cute little kids ramped in the runway wearing FP’s creations. The event was helt at Function 4, SMX Convention Center, SM Mall of Asia.

8 Days of Happy-Happy-Joy-Joy

Since I am stressed and I’m about to leave Manila in two hours for a five hours and 30 minutes bus trip to Dagupan and be back in Manila by night time, I decided to blog about some of the things that made me happy the past eight days. I originally planned to blog about it, but due to my workload and my messed up mind, all these entries are not yet published.

Let’s start!

Wednesday – I arrived in Dagupan after two months. I saw my ever loving grannies at home and decided to treat them for dinner. We went to Dagupena Restaurant, one of the best restaurants in Pangasinan. We ordered Pinapaitan, Buro and Crispy Pata. We ate a lot and we were able to update each other with the latest updates on my brother, my mom, work, family etc. Lolo and Lola told me that the dinner made them really happy and that they do really miss me and my presence in the house (I miss you both!)

Thursday – I went back to school and bonded with Jaypee, one of my closest college friend. We drank Mocha twice (haha) and we talked about random stuff. I also spent some quality time alone in Gloria Jeans Dagupan working on my documents and private blog entries.

Friday - Watta stressful Friday! Due to mild depression, I decided to go back to Manila at 6pm. While on the bus, I ate a lot of tupig and when I arrived in my Manila room, I had my first ever Swedish Massage. Now I agree with Yogajane – The scent of Lavender is really relaxing.

Saturday - I went back to work and ate a lot – Sinigang na baboy, Hipon, Boneless Bangus, two cakes, Fish Fillet etc! Not only that, the Plurkfiesta team went to Gateway and ate dinner at the Pancake House. We went to UCC Morato after and..

Sunday – It’s Arbet’s birthday! We greeted him a happy, happy birthday in person and via Plurk :D I did discover a lot of trivias about the Plurkfiesta regulars. I always look forward to Saturday or Sunday Plurkfiesta just simply because kuwan.. basta alam niyo na yun at nagpapasalamat ako :)

Procrastinator

Don’t wait any longer, do it today

I am here in Dagupan right now using the offsets I collected from work. I am not here mainly for a fun vacation. I am here because I have to finish a task that I shouldv’t finished a year ago.

As I listen to Sandwich’s Procrastinator song, I suddenly want to blame myself for being lazy.

Yes, despite the fact that a lot of people are saying that I am a workaholic, I am still lazy. The stupidiest thing there is I am lazy doing the most important stuff and my future relies on it.

In a short span of one year, I was able to get a home-based job as a Virtual Assistant and as a Problogger for a blogging network. I also took a short course for Basic Scriptwriting last summer and finished two scripts. I attended a number of blog events and launched a few blogs that I can call my own. I got the job that I wanted in Makati and I really enjoy the works.

But then again, this one thing that I have to accomplish is taking me oh-so-long to finish. Bakit nga ba?

I don’t really know why, actually. Everytime I look at the notes and the papers, the lazy girl in me brings back to life. Lack of interest? Maybe. Lack of determination? I think so.

But anyhoo, I have to do this NOW. I have to.. I just have to..

So that I can write more scripts.

So that I can shoot my first short film.

So that I can updated and monetize my blogs.

So that I can work at the office without worrying much.

So that I can finally achieve freedom.

I shouldn’t be blogging right now, right? But why am I updating this blog?
